Prefabricated Concrete Monolithic House

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

A prefabricated concrete monolithic house is a form of construction that involves the industrial production of building components, which are then assembled on-site. It is also known as a prefabricated cement integrated house or pre-cast house.

Construction Method and Efficiency:
The construction process of a prefabricated concrete monolithic house is highly industrialized. In the factory, wall panels, floor slabs, and other building components are made in advance using reinforced concrete. After undergoing quality inspection and curing in the factory, these components are transported to the construction site for hoisting and assembly. Taking a 200-square-meter villa as an example, its main structure can be assembled within 4 hours, saving approximately 90% of the time compared to traditional construction methods. For a 100-square-meter house, the cost of the main structure can be controlled between 100,000 and 120,000 yuan, which is about 30% cheaper than a brick-and-concrete structure.

Safety and Performance:
This type of house uses C35 concrete and a reinforced steel frame to construct its main structure, and it has been tested to withstand typhoons of up to Category 12. In simulated tests, the house only shifted by 3 centimeters under strong winds, demonstrating excellent wind resistance. Its structural stability stems from the standardized components produced through industrial manufacturing and the precise on-site assembly process, ensuring the reliability of the overall structure.

Limitations:
The standardized production model of prefabricated concrete monolithic houses limits their design flexibility. If non-standard designs such as rounded balconies are required, an additional customization fee of about 20% may be incurred, and the customization period may be extended. Additionally, factors such as the transportation distance of components and the terrain conditions at the construction site may affect construction efficiency and costs.

Technological Development History:
China's prefabricated concrete technology originated in the 1950s and was initially applied in factory and residential construction. In the 21st century, with improvements in production efficiency and growing environmental demands, this technology has regained attention. Companies like Vanke Group have developed prefabricated shear wall residential structural systems and applied prefabricated frame technology in engineering projects, promoting the expansion of prefabricated concrete monolithic houses into the fields of high-rise buildings and complex structures.
