Prefabricated Components for House Roof

Quản trị 19 tháng 9, 2026

Prefabricated components for house roof, mainly in the form of prefabricated panels, have certain applications in the construction field, but they also have some characteristics and limitations.

Types and Production of Prefabricated Panel Roofs

Prefabricated panel houses are structures built primarily with prefabricated panels, with their roofs being factory-made cement components. During production, a wooden model is first nailed together, followed by the placement of steel bars, and finally, cement is poured to form the panel. Prefabricated panels come in two types: solid and hollow. The hollow design achieves lightweighting by reducing the concrete in non-load-bearing parts, ensuring both strength and reduced weight for easier transportation and installation.

Prices of Prefabricated Roof Panels and Prefabricated House Roofs

The prices of prefabricated roof panels and prefabricated house roofs vary significantly depending on the brand, specifications, and region. For example, there are products on the market priced at 18.00 yuan/square meter, 28.00 yuan/square meter, 60.00 yuan/square meter, and even special specifications priced at 2958.00 yuan per unit. This price variation is mainly influenced by factors such as raw material quality, production processes, brand reputation, and transportation costs. When choosing, consumers need to consider these factors comprehensively based on their budget and actual needs to select products with good cost-effectiveness.

Use of Prefabricated Panels in Rural Self-Built House Roofs

Prefabricated panels can be used for the roofs of rural self-built houses. The materials used for prefabricated panels are essentially the same as those for concrete cast-in-place roofs, but with smaller specifications. When making prefabricated panels, coiled steel bars or even cold-drawn wires are often used as reinforcement, and pebbles are used as aggregates. After production, the prefabricated panels are directly placed on the roof. However, they are not integrated with the walls and cannot provide tensile strength or stability. In the event of geological disasters such as earthquakes, they are prone to danger. Additionally, due to the loose connection between the prefabricated panels and the walls, cracks may form due to foundation settlement, leading to issues such as water leakage. Therefore, the use of prefabricated panels in self-built houses is now limited.
