Characteristics of Prefabricated Assembly Houses

Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026

Prefabricated assembly houses are characterized by factory-produced components, extensive on-site assembly work, integrated design and construction, standardized and information-based management, energy efficiency and environmental protection, as well as short construction periods and controllable quality.

  1. Factory-produced components: A large number of building components for prefabricated assembly houses are manufactured and processed in workshops. The range of components is extensive, including exterior wall panels, interior wall panels, composite slabs, balconies, air conditioning panels, stairs, prefabricated beams, and prefabricated columns. This factory-based production method ensures the quality and precision of components, reduces uncertainties and errors in on-site construction, and improves the overall quality of the building.
  2. Extensive on-site assembly work: Compared to traditional cast-in-place operations, a significant portion of the work on-site for prefabricated assembly houses involves assembly. This means that workers primarily engage in the assembly and connection of components at the construction site, reducing the amount of wet work, lowering construction difficulty and labor intensity, and also minimizing noise and dust pollution at the site.
  3. Integrated design and construction: An integrated design and construction approach, combining architecture and decoration, is adopted. Ideally, decoration can proceed simultaneously with the main construction. This approach avoids the secondary construction required in traditional buildings where decoration is carried out after the main construction is completed, reducing construction time and costs while better ensuring the overall integrity and coordination of the building.
  4. Standardized and information-based management: Standardized design and information-based management are key features of prefabricated assembly houses. The more standardized the components, the higher the production efficiency, and the corresponding component costs decrease. Coupled with digital management in factories, precise control and optimization of the production process can be achieved, improving production efficiency and quality, reducing production costs, and increasing the cost-effectiveness of the entire prefabricated building.
  5. Energy efficiency and environmental protection: Prefabricated assembly houses meet the requirements of green buildings and are characterized by energy efficiency and environmental protection. Factory-based production reduces waste and energy consumption during on-site construction, while the reusability of components also reduces the generation of construction waste, contributing to resource conservation and environmental protection.
  6. Short construction periods and controllable quality: Prefabricated assembly houses, represented by modular buildings, can shorten construction periods by more than 60%, offering short construction times, controllable quality, and ease of maintenance. However, this model places extremely high demands on the industrial foundation, requiring support from technical systems, production systems, industrial clusters, etc., to ensure the smooth progress of component production, transportation, and installation.
