Portable Public Toilet Production

Quản trị 09 tháng 10, 2026

Portable public toilets can be produced in various ways, with common methods including the modification of water storage tanks or the use of discarded tiles. The core requirements are mobility, sewage discharge functionality, and structural stability.

Producing a Portable Toilet Using a Water Storage Tank

Modifying a water storage tank is a low-cost and easy-to-implement solution, suitable for temporary or simple scenarios.

  1. Material Selection: Prepare a large-capacity water storage tank (such as a 100-200 liter plastic tank), a toilet seat, a sewage pipe, sealant, and universal wheels. The water storage tank should be corrosion-resistant and well-sealed to prevent sewage leakage.
  2. Structural Assembly:
    • Cutting the Opening: Cut a circular hole in the top of the water storage tank that matches the toilet seat, and smooth the edges to prevent scratches.
    • Installing the Seat: Fix the toilet seat onto the opening and use sealant to ensure there are no gaps at the connection, preventing odor diffusion.
    • Adding Universal Wheels: Install universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of the water storage tank for easy mobility; the wheels should have brake mechanisms to ensure stability during use.
    • Connecting the Sewage Pipe: Drill a hole at the bottom side of the water storage tank and connect a sewage pipe to a septic tank or collection container. The pipe diameter should match the toilet's drainage outlet to avoid blockages.
  3. Functional Optimization: Add deodorizers or biodegradable agents to the tank to reduce odors; install a simple fence or sunshade outside to enhance privacy and comfort.

Creating a Portable Toilet Using Discarded Tiles

This method is suitable for resource reuse scenarios and requires some manual skills.

  1. Material Preparation: Discarded tiles, cement, universal wheels, a toilet tank (optional), sewage pipes, and sealing materials. The tiles should be intact and crack-free, and cement is used to secure the structure.
  2. Production Steps:
    • Cutting the Tiles: Cut the tiles according to the design dimensions to form the toilet base, enclosure, and backrest components; wear protective goggles during cutting to prevent injury from fragments.
    • Assembling the Structure: Use cement to piece the tiles together into a toilet shape, ensuring that all components are firmly connected; the base should have a reserved sewage outlet aligned with the ground sewage pipe.
    • Installing Universal Wheels: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the base; the wheels should have strong load-bearing capacity to support the overall weight.
    • Connecting the Sewage System: Connect the toilet's sewage outlet to underground pipes or a mobile septic tank, using sealing rings to prevent leakage.
  3. Safety and Hygiene: Smooth the edges of the tiles to prevent scratches; clean regularly after use to prevent bacterial growth.

General Design Principles

Regardless of the method used, the following principles should be followed:

  • Mobility: The structure should be lightweight and the wheels flexible for quick deployment or relocation.
  • Sewage Discharge Functionality: The sewage pipe should have a reasonable slope (usually ≥2%) to ensure smooth sewage discharge.
  • Stability: The wheels should be fixed during use to prevent side-tipping due to shaking.
  • Environmental Friendliness: Prioritize the use of biodegradable materials to reduce environmental impact.
