Polyurethane-Sprayed Container House

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

The application of polyurethane spraying in container houses is mainly reflected in two aspects: anti-corrosion protection and thermal insulation, which can significantly enhance the durability and energy efficiency of the houses.

I. Anti-Corrosion Protection System

The steel substrate of container houses needs to withstand long-term environmental erosion such as wind, sand, temperature differences, and salt spray. Polyurethane spraying achieves long-term protection through a multi-layer protection system:

  1. Bottom Layer Protection: Epoxy zinc-rich primer is used to provide active cathodic protection through the sacrificial anode effect of zinc powder, inhibiting electrochemical corrosion. For example, after shot blasting and rust removal on the surface of container houses in the Baotou camp, zinc-rich primer is sprayed, enabling the steel to maintain an effective lifespan of over 15 years in the windy and sandy environment with temperature differences in northwest China.
  2. Intermediate Layer Shielding: Epoxy mica iron intermediate paint forms a dense shielding layer to block the penetration of moisture, oxygen, and corrosive media. For example, the special anti-corrosion system for maritime containers builds a three-layer protection mechanism through the synergistic effect of the intermediate paint with the primer and topcoat.
  3. Top Layer Protection: Acrylic polyurethane topcoat combines weather resistance, light and color retention, and chemical corrosion resistance, serving as the first line of defense against external environmental erosion. For example, after adopting acrylic polyurethane topcoat, containers from Shenzhen Southern Zhongji remained as good as new after floating in the brackish tide climate of the Bohai Bay for 8 months, and their salt spray and ultraviolet resistance met international standards.

II. Thermal Insulation Performance

The metal walls of containers are prone to forming cold and hot bridge effects, resulting in high thermal conductivity. Polyurethane spraying optimizes thermal insulation performance through the following solutions:

  1. Bridge-Cutting Liner Structure: Hard polyurethane foam is filled between the steel frame and the interior wall panels, and rubber thermal insulation pads are installed at the connections of the studs, reducing the heat exchange efficiency between the interior and exterior of the container by about 40%. For example, after adopting this solution, container houses in the Baotou camp have indoor temperatures 8 to 10 degrees Celsius higher than the outside in winter, reducing heating energy consumption.
  2. Integrated Spraying: The building envelope is treated with polyurethane spraying to form a continuous, seamless thermal insulation layer, reducing cold and hot exchange losses. For example, container polyurethane spraying insulation manufacturers in Chongming adapt to various engineering needs through integrated molding structures.
