Principle of Plastic Mobile Toilets

Quản trị 26 tháng 9, 2026

The principle of plastic mobile toilets is mainly based on septic tank treatment and various waterless flushing technologies, achieving the collection, decomposition, and harmless treatment of excreta through physical, biological, or chemical methods.

I. Principle of Mobile Toilets with Septic Tanks

The septic tank is the core structure of such toilets, and its functions and treatment processes are as follows:

  1. Sealed Collection and Anaerobic Decomposition The septic tank is a sealed container used to collect feces and urine. After excreta enter, anaerobic bacteria decompose organic matter in an oxygen-free environment, producing biogas and sediment. The biogas is safely discharged through a ventilation system, while the sediment accumulates at the bottom of the tank. This process reduces waste volume and minimizes odors.
  2. Modular and Mobile Design The outer shell is often made of corrosion-resistant and easy-to-clean materials such as polyethylene to extend its service life. The bottom is equipped with wheels or handles for easy transportation. The modular structure supports rapid assembly and disassembly, making it suitable for temporary events, construction sites, and other scenarios.

II. Alternative Technology Principles of Waterless Sanitary Toilets

Some plastic mobile toilets adopt a waterless design, replacing traditional water flushing functions with the following technologies:

  1. Mechanical Packaging Type Degradable plastic bags are used to wrap the squatting position. A mechanical device automatically tightens and seals the waste, forming an independent waste bag that falls into the fecal storage tank. It is regularly collected and transported by specialized personnel.
  2. Microbial Degradation Type A degradation chamber filled with microbial carriers is set up below the squatting position. Microorganisms decompose organic matter through aerobic fermentation. The high temperature generated during decomposition can kill pathogens, achieving harmless treatment.
  3. Foam Sealing Type An air pump mixes air with foaming liquid to form a dense foam layer on the surface of the squatting pan. Excreta slide into the pipe below. Each foaming process consumes only about 0.1 liters of liquid, significantly saving water.
  4. Vacuum Suction Type A vacuum pump creates negative pressure in the pipe, instantly sucking waste into the main pipe and transporting it to the treatment tank. It is suitable for centralized sewage discharge scenarios.
  5. Chemical Agent Type Chemical agents are added to the fecal storage tank to decompose excreta through chemical reactions while inhibiting odors and bacterial growth, maintaining a clean environment.

III. Technology Selection and Applicable Scenarios

Toilets with septic tanks are suitable for areas without sewage pipelines, reducing treatment frequency through natural decomposition. Waterless flushing technologies are aimed at water-scarce areas or scenarios with high environmental protection requirements, such as arid regions and ecological protection zones. Different technologies can be combined according to actual needs. For example, combining microbial degradation with foam sealing can balance efficiency and water conservation.
