Ordinary Container Suite Room

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

An ordinary container suite room is a modular living space transformed from a standard container. It features mobility, rapid construction, and relatively low cost, making it suitable for temporary housing, field operations, vacation cabins, and other scenarios. However, key issues such as structural safety, fire prevention, and space utilization must be noted.

1. Structural Types and Safety

Ordinary container suite rooms mainly come in two structural types:

  • Welded Integral Box: Manufactured by welding the entire unit in a factory, it has a direct load path and strong resistance to deformation, making it suitable for frequent lifting and relocation.
  • Bolt-Connected Modular Box: Constructed using standard panels connected by bolts, it has multiple load-bearing nodes along the load path, with the tightness of these nodes directly affecting overall stability. When purchasing, check the steel wall thickness of the columns and bottom beams (common specifications range from 1.5mm to 3mm). Thicker walls provide greater load-bearing capacity but also increase the self-weight.

2. Fire Prevention and Safety Requirements

  • Filling Materials: Use A-grade fire-resistant materials such as rock wool boards and fireproof cotton, avoiding flammable materials like polystyrene and polyurethane to prevent the production of toxic smoke during combustion.
  • Safety Distance: Maintain a minimum safety distance of 6 meters between container houses to reduce the risk of fire spreading.
  • Electrical Safety: Protect wires and cables with sleeves, use metal galvanized boxes for sockets and switch boxes, and install them visibly. Equip both the interior and exterior with simple fire-fighting equipment.

3. Space Utilization and Functional Zoning

  • Limited Space: The fixed dimensions of the container (commonly 3m by 6m) force designers to adopt functional overlapping strategies, such as compressing the kitchen and bathroom into one end of the container to form a wet area, and using flexible furniture to switch between living and sleeping areas during the day and night.
  • Storage Planning: Systematic planning of item storage is necessary; otherwise, the actual usable area may shrink by more than 20%.

4. Installation and Ground Preparation

  • Ground Preparation: Clear the ground of loose soil and debris, compact the original soil layer to provide a uniform load-bearing foundation for the container house, and prevent uneven settlement of the container due to localized pressure.
