Ningxia Mobile Toilet Construction
The construction of mobile toilets in Ningxia requires a comprehensive approach covering design, material selection, construction, and quality control. The key points are as follows:

I. Project Design and Standard Adaptation The design of mobile toilets must strictly adhere to the 'Urban Public Toilet Design Standard' and the 'Barrier-Free Design Code'. Each unit covers an area of 20 square meters, designed in a modular format of 3m×6m, including male restrooms, female restrooms, a dedicated space for the disabled, and an independent handwashing area. The ratio of female to male toilet stalls is set at 5:3, and barrier-free facilities must accommodate wheelchair access and emergency call requirements. Considering the climatic characteristics of Ningxia, the structure should be designed to withstand an earthquake intensity of 8 degrees, with a roof wind load resistance of ≥0.55kN/m² and insulation thickness ensuring normal operation under extreme low temperatures of -25℃.
II. Structural and Material Selection The main structure employs a lightweight steel frame system, with the base welded from 10# channel steel, columns made of 80×80×3mm square steel, and beams using 50×50×2.5mm angle steel. The walls consist of double-layer color steel plates filled with 50mm rock wool insulation, lined with 12mm fire-resistant gypsum board on the inside and covered with 0.8mm metal carved panels on the outside. The roof is designed with a 15° slope, covered with 0.5mm color steel plates and equipped with gutter channels. The floor is paved with 300×300mm non-slip tiles (slip resistance coefficient ≥0.8), the ceiling uses 0.8mm thick flame-retardant B1-grade PVC ceiling tiles, and the doors and windows are 5mm tempered glass aluminum alloy sliding windows. For sanitary fixtures, water-saving squat toilets (flush volume ≤6L/time) are preferred, and the electrical system is equipped with 12W LED lights (color temperature 4000K).
III. Construction Process and Procedures
- Foundation Construction: After site leveling, pour a 100mm thick C20 concrete cushion and pre-embed eight M16 anchor bolts (deviation ≤10mm).
- Structural Installation: The walls use lightweight partition panels (thickness 100mm), and the ceiling is a lightweight steel keel ceiling laid with 12mm gypsum board.
- System Integration: The water supply and drainage system uses PPR water supply pipes and PVC drainage pipes, with a rainwater collection system connected to the flushing equipment; the electrical system is equipped with 10A three-hole sockets and 1.5mm² BV wires.
- Equipment Installation: The male restroom is equipped with three squat stalls (including one barrier-free stall) and two urinals, while the female restroom has five squat stalls and is equipped with an infant care table; the handwashing area is installed with three sensor-activated handwashing basins, and a 600mm maintenance passage is reserved in the equipment room.
IV. Quality Control and Safety Assurance Before construction, a drawing review meeting should be organized to address key technical issues such as low-temperature welding and wind-sand sealing. During construction, regular inspections of raw material quality and construction accuracy should be conducted, and concealed works must pass inspection before proceeding to the next process. Safety measures include formulating a special management plan, setting up warning signs, providing protective equipment, and training welders in low-temperature processes. After construction, a joint inspection by multiple departments is required to ensure structural safety, functional completeness, and environmental compliance.
