Do New-Type Mobile Toilets Require No Water?

Quản trị 11 tháng 10, 2026

There are new-type mobile toilets that do not require water. Here are some types of such new-type mobile toilets and their working principles:

Mechanical Packaging Mobile Toilets: These mobile toilets do not require water, electricity, or sewage systems and can be used immediately upon placement. Their core principle is to use mechanical devices to package and treat excrement. After a user finishes defecating, the mechanical structure automatically collects and seals the excrement in specially designed packaging bags, preventing contact between the excrement and the external environment, thereby preventing odor emission and the spread of germs. This packaging method not only eliminates the need for water for flushing but also effectively reduces environmental pollution. Moreover, the packaged excrement is convenient for subsequent centralized treatment and transportation.

Waterless Flush Toilets: Waterless flush toilets employ advanced waste treatment technologies to effectively treat waste without traditional water flushing. They typically use methods such as biodegradation, chemical treatment, or physical separation to convert excrement into harmless or low-harm substances. For example, some waterless flush toilets use special microbial communities to decompose organic matter in excrement, converting it into carbon dioxide, water, and a small amount of inorganic salts. Others add chemical agents to cause chemical reactions in the excrement, achieving solid-liquid separation and disinfection. These treatment methods not only save water resources but also reduce reliance on sewage discharge systems.

Smart Toilets (Certain Types): Some smart toilets use automatic hot-melt sealing bag technology to store excrement without flushing. After a user defecates, the smart toilet automatically collects the excrement into specially designed plastic bags and seals the bag opening using hot-melt technology to prevent odor leakage. These smart toilets are usually equipped with sensors and control systems that can automatically detect the amount of excrement and trigger corresponding treatment procedures. Since they do not require flushing, they significantly reduce water consumption and also lower sewage treatment costs.
