Movable Toilet Pipeline Insulation

Quản trị 13 tháng 10, 2026

The pipeline insulation measures for movable toilets mainly include four aspects: basic insulation, pipeline anti-freezing, special treatment of the drainage system, and preventive freezing measures.

Basic Insulation: A composite wall design is adopted, with an outer layer of color-coated steel plate, an inner layer of fireproof board, and a 5cm-thick polyurethane foam or rock wool insulation layer in between. This material has a thermal conductivity as low as 0.024W/(m·K), and its insulation performance is three times better than that of traditional materials. It can effectively reduce heat transfer and maintain a stable pipeline temperature.

Pipeline Anti-freezing:

  • Electric Tracing System: Self-regulating heating cables (with a power of 8W/M) are wound around the pipelines, accompanied by an intelligent temperature control box. When the sensor detects that the ambient temperature is below 5℃, the system automatically starts up. Through an aluminum foil heat conduction layer, a total power of 75W can maintain the pipeline surface temperature above 5℃ in an environment of -15℃.
  • Auxiliary Insulation Measures: All pipelines are covered with rubber insulating sleeves, and key joints such as valves are overlaid with double-layer insulation materials to further reduce heat loss.

Special Treatment of the Drainage System:

  • Expanded perlite is filled around the trap of the squat toilet to reduce heat transfer due to its low thermal conductivity.
  • The drainage pipelines are wrapped with a 50mm-thick insulation layer to form a three-dimensional insulation system and prevent the liquid inside the pipelines from freezing.

Preventive Freezing Measures:

  • Insulation Wrapping: For outdoor water pipes, faucets, etc., use insulation materials such as cotton and linen fabrics, foam plastics, or old clothes to wrap them tightly. Pay special attention to protecting the joints and add a waterproof plastic sheet on the outer layer for moisture resistance.
  • Dripping to Prevent Freezing: When the temperature is below 0℃, turn the faucet to a thin stream (like a thread) at night to keep the water flowing inside the pipes and prevent freezing. The dripping water can be collected in a container for reuse.
  • Draining Stored Water: When not in use for a long time, close the main water valve and open the faucet to drain the water stored in the pipelines; users of solar water heaters need to drain the water from the pipelines in advance.
  • Environmental Insulation: Close the doors and windows of the restroom to keep the indoor temperature above 0℃, or cover it with straw mats and other insulation materials.
  • Installing Heating Equipment: Wrap auxiliary heating equipment around the water pipes. When the temperature is below -2℃, the equipment automatically starts up to heat and prevent freezing.
