Introduction to Gender-Partitioned Movable Toilets
Movable toilets feature gender-partitioned designs, with two common forms: fixed gender partitions and flexible partitions in 'tide toilets'.

The fixed gender partition design is relatively common. Taking the Apple Cabin-shaped gender-partitioned movable toilet produced by Dezhou Hongtu Metal Products Co., Ltd. as an example, it adopts a clear gender partition layout. Separate spaces are provided for men and women, each equipped with a squat toilet to meet basic usage needs. The middle area is an open hand-washing zone, facilitating user cleaning after using the toilet while optimizing space utilization. The walls are made of galvanized sheet metal with a white paint finish on the surface, ensuring both structural strength and a clean appearance. Signage clearly marks the gender-specific areas to prevent misentry; the men's toilet area is fully equipped with sanitary fixtures and has undergone complete interior finishing, meeting hygiene and comfort requirements from hardware facilities to detailed design.
Another flexible partition design is the 'tide toilet', primarily optimized for differences in gender usage needs (such as longer toilet times for women and prominent queuing during peak periods). Its core is to achieve dynamic adjustment by setting up 'gender-neutral universal toilet stalls': On the basis of regular male and female toilet stalls, several flexible universal stalls are added, with usage permissions controlled by movable signage or lockable sliding doors. For example, during peak tourist periods, if there are insufficient female toilet stalls, some universal stalls can be temporarily converted to female toilets, and the corresponding male toilet signs can be closed; during off-peak periods, the original partitions are restored. This design combines physical isolation with a signage system to ensure privacy while flexibly allocating resources based on real-time foot traffic, effectively alleviating queuing issues.
Both designs are user-demand oriented: Fixed partitions are suitable for daily scenarios, providing basic guarantees through independent spaces and complete facilities; 'tide toilets' enhance usage efficiency during peak periods through dynamic adjustment mechanisms, making them particularly suitable for venues with large fluctuations in foot traffic, such as scenic spots and exhibitions. In practical applications, an appropriate plan can be selected based on site size, usage frequency, and gender ratio, or the advantages of both can be combined to balance stability and flexibility.
