Debut of Modular Prefabricated Housing

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

Modular prefabricated housing has made its debut in applications such as affordable housing projects and international exhibitions. Details are as follows:

In the field of affordable housing, modular prefabricated housing has entered the actual construction phase. On May 8, 2026, the first concrete module hoisting was completed for the affordable rental housing project in the Dinghuisi North plot, Haidian District, Beijing. This project holds dual significance: it is the first concrete modular affordable housing project in Beijing and the first concrete modular project in Haidian District. Its core feature lies in the use of factory-prefabricated concrete modules. Through standardized design, structural components such as walls and floor slabs are produced in advance, and only module hoisting and node connections are required on-site. This model significantly shortens the construction cycle and, due to the quality controllability of factory production, enhances the overall accuracy and durability of the building, providing a new paradigm for the large-scale and efficient construction of affordable housing.

In the field of international exhibitions, technological innovations in modular prefabricated housing have been showcased. From September 9 to 13, 2026, during the China International Fair for Trade in Services held at the Shougang Park in Beijing, China Construction First Bureau exhibited the E-MiC prefabricated concrete box-type housing. This product takes 'factory prefabrication and on-site dry assembly' as its core advantages. Through modular design, the building is decomposed into independent box units, each integrating functions such as structure, pipelines, and decoration, and can be quickly assembled on-site through bolting or welding. Its technological highlights include: All-dry operations, reducing dust and noise pollution caused by on-site wet operations; High-precision assembly, with module-to-module errors controlled at the millimeter level to ensure the overall stability of the building; Flexible scalability, allowing the number of modules to be increased or decreased according to needs to adapt to buildings of different scales and functions. This exhibit demonstrates the evolution of modular prefabricated housing from a single structure to an integrated and intelligent direction.

The above cases indicate that modular prefabricated housing has moved from the conceptual stage to practical application, covering application scenarios in both livelihood projects and high-end technology exhibitions. Its technological paths include standardized module production and integrated system assembly, providing replicable practical samples for the industrial transformation of the construction industry.
