Mobile Toilets and Toilet Revolution

Quản trị 20 tháng 9, 2026

Mobile toilets are an important part of the 'Toilet Revolution', reflecting a transition from basic support to quality improvement.

Material Innovation: Early mobile toilets were mostly made of wood, which suffered from poor sturdiness and susceptibility to corrosion. With technological advancements, new materials such as fiberglass, polyethylene, and stainless steel have gradually replaced wooden structures. These materials not only enhance the sturdiness and sealing resistance to corrosion of the toilets but also facilitate overall relocation, lifting, and movement, adapting to the needs of different scenarios. For example, in disaster areas or large-scale event sites, mobile toilets can be quickly deployed to provide temporary sanitation facilities for crowds.

Upgrading of Treatment Technologies: The treatment technologies of mobile toilets have evolved from primitive sanitary waste transportation to environmentally friendly and intelligent processing systems. Eco-friendly smart toilets repeatedly collect hand-washing and clean water to create an ecological medicinal solution, which is automatically sprayed in using a low-water pressure system. Each use consumes less than 0.5 liters of clean water, making the water-saving efficiency hundreds of times higher than that of ordinary suction-type toilets. Recirculating water-flush toilets are equipped with advanced biochemical reaction devices that decompose fecal matter through the cultivation of special bacterial biofilms, resulting in recycled and treated water quality. After multiple treatments by a filtration system, the water is directly used for a new round of flushing and spraying. Waterless series adopt microbial deep metabolism and separation processes, efficiently converting fecal waste into harmless organic nitrogen sources without relying on drainage systems, and can even be used as natural fertilizers, demonstrating irreplaceable effectiveness in special situations such as outdoor music festivals and disaster areas.

Functional Enhancement: Taking Beijing's deepening of the 'Toilet Revolution' in 2025 as an example, the modular mobile public toilets in the park north of Mingguang Bridge in Haidian District have added barrier-free toilet compartments equipped with children's toilets, baby changing tables, safety handrails, and emergency call devices, providing a safe and convenient independent space for elderly people requiring accompaniment, families with young children, and people with disabilities.

Refined Governance: Currently, the 'Toilet Revolution' has entered a new stage pursuing 'air health, intelligent management, and long-term low maintenance and operation'. Air environmental quality has become a key indicator for public toilet acceptance and rating. Mobile toilets are also continuously adapting to these new requirements by optimizing ventilation systems and adopting environmentally friendly materials to enhance the user experience and environmental quality.
