Mobile Toilet Usage in Winter

Quản trị 21 tháng 9, 2026

When using mobile toilets in winter, it is essential to focus on warmth preservation, pipeline antifreeze, cleaning maintenance, and ventilation management. Specific measures are as follows:

I. Warmth Preservation Measures

  1. Sealing Inspection: Ensure that doors and windows are airtight, and install windproof strips or thick curtains if necessary. Some mobile toilets adopt insulated wall designs, and the handwashing area can also assist in warmth preservation.
  2. Internal Heating: Use low-power warm air blowers (below 500W), which should be fixedly installed and kept away from flammable materials. Check the circuit safety daily. In extremely cold regions in the north, explosion-proof electric heaters can be selected, with the surface temperature controlled below 60℃.

II. Pipeline Antifreeze

  1. Insulation Treatment: Wrap pipelines with 3cm thick rubber-plastic insulation cotton and wrap them with waterproof tape. In North China, it is recommended to install heating tapes, which should be activated when the temperature drops below -5℃. Products from reputable manufacturers usually have insulation layers or heating devices installed at key parts of the water tank and pipelines.
  2. Thawing Methods: If pipelines freeze, do not pour boiling water directly on them. Instead, use warm water below 40℃ to flush slowly or use special thawing agents (such as calcium chloride solution). You can also contact professionals to use pipeline dredgers. It is strictly prohibited to use open flames or high-temperature equipment for direct heating.

III. Cleaning Management

  1. Water Temperature Control: Maintain the cleaning water temperature between 20-30℃, and add antifreeze cleaning agents to enhance the cleaning effect.
  2. Anti-slip Treatment: After cleaning, immediately use an absorbent mop to handle the floor. If necessary, sprinkle environmentally friendly de-icing agents (such as magnesium chloride-based ones).
  3. Frequency Adjustment: In low-temperature environments, conduct a comprehensive cleaning at least twice a day, focusing on the toilet bowl and floor drain areas. Avoid pouring large amounts of hot water or chemical cleaning agents to prevent pipeline damage.

IV. Ventilation and Humidity

  1. Timed Ventilation: Open windows from 10:00 to 14:00 daily, for no more than 15 minutes each time, to avoid direct blowing of cold air.
  2. Humidity Regulation: Maintain indoor humidity between 40%-60%, which can be achieved by hanging wet towels or placing small humidifiers.

V. Additional Suggestions

  1. Metal Component Maintenance: Apply silicone-based antifreeze lubricant to door locks, hinges, etc. weekly.
  2. Extreme Weather Response: Suspend use and empty the water storage tank when the temperature drops below -20℃. For non-professional products, drain water in advance or install antifreeze valves. In public places, check the flushing situation every 2-3 hours to avoid urine retention.
  3. Temporary Protection: When the temperature suddenly drops below -8℃, cover with insulation cotton, close door and window gaps, or use mobile toilets with heating functions.
  4. Product Selection: Prioritize purchasing from reputable brands and confirm that the product has cold-resistant designs (such as double-layer insulated water tanks). In scenic spots and other places, post "Low-Temperature Usage Tips" to guide users in correct operation.
