Mobile Toilet Waterproof Construction Method
Quản trị 19 tháng 10, 2026
The waterproof construction of mobile toilets should combine conventional toilet waterproofing techniques and adjust the steps according to the actual structure (such as whether there is a settlement tank), with the core process as follows:

I. Ground Waterproof Construction
- Base Layer Treatment: Thoroughly clean the ground to ensure there is no dust, oil, or standing water residue. If the ground is uneven, use cement mortar for leveling, focusing on the corner areas to prevent waterproof layer cracking due to base layer defects.
- Detail Treatment: Perform waterproofing and plugging around floor drains, through-floor pipes, and internal and external corners. The internal and external corners should be ground into smooth rounded corners to reduce stress concentration. The pipe roots should be filled and compacted twice with waterproof mortar or fine aggregate concrete, and an expansion agent should be added to enhance crack resistance.
- Waterproof Layer Construction:
- Use flexible waterproof materials (such as polyurethane coatings) to paint the ground. The settlement tank area should be treated as a priority, and the coating thickness should meet the product requirements.
- Paint in two layers with perpendicular directions to ensure uniform thickness and avoid exposed areas or cracking. After the first layer is completely dry (usually 4-6 hours), apply the second layer.
- Closed Water Test: After the waterproof layer is completely dry, fill the ground with water to a depth of no less than 2 centimeters and let it stand for 48 hours. Observe whether there is any leakage on the ceiling or wall below. If leakage is found, repair it and conduct the test again.
- Backfilling and Drainage: After the waterproofing of the settlement tank is qualified, backfill it to half height with ceramsite or lightweight concrete, and install a secondary drainage floor drain to prevent water accumulation from causing the waterproof layer to fail.
- Secondary Waterproofing: Before laying floor tiles, apply waterproof materials again and conduct a closed water test to ensure the integrity of the backfill layer and the ground waterproofing.
II. Wall Waterproof Construction
- Base Layer Treatment: Level the wall and remove protrusions to ensure there are no uneven areas that affect the adhesion of the waterproof layer.
- Waterproof Layer Construction:
- Apply waterproof materials before laying tiles. The height is recommended to be no less than 2000mm, and the shower area should extend to more than 1800mm.
- Focus on painting up to the outer side of the door frame at the door pocket to prevent moisture penetration from causing deformation of wooden products.
III. Strengthening Treatment of Key Nodes
- Floor Drain: Seal the gaps in the floor slab with waterproof mortar, apply sealant around the floor drain, and install a waterproof tray to prevent water leakage from the edge of the floor drain.
- Through-Floor Pipes: After filling the area around the pipe roots with concrete, apply a waterproof coating on the surface to form a protective layer.
- Internal Corner Treatment: Make the junction between the ground and the wall into a circular arc shape, and press lines with cement mortar to reduce the risk of waterproof layer cracking.
IV. Adjustment of Construction Sequence
- With a settlement tank: First, handle the waterproofing of the settlement tank → backfill → wall waterproofing → ground waterproofing.
- Without a settlement tank: First, wall waterproofing → ground waterproofing to avoid damaging the waterproof layer during subsequent construction.
V. Acceptance Criteria
- The water depth for the closed water test should be no less than 2 centimeters, and there should be no leakage for 24-48 hours.
- The waterproof layer should pass two closed water tests (after construction and after equipment installation) to ensure long-term effectiveness.
Precautions: The waterproof layer should be painted evenly to avoid cracking due to excessive thickness. No open flames are allowed during construction to prevent the combustion of waterproof materials. After completion, no one is allowed to walk on it to protect the integrity of the waterproof layer.
