Mobile Toilet Water Pipe Installation

Quản trị 24 tháng 9, 2026

The installation of water pipes for mobile toilets requires comprehensive planning from aspects such as the connection of water supply and drainage systems, details of pipe installation, and freeze-proof and thermal insulation treatments to ensure system stability, safety, and no leakage.

Water Supply System Connection

Before installation, the location of the water source should be determined. Water supply pipes should be made of pressure-resistant and freeze-proof materials (such as PPR pipes or galvanized steel pipes). The buried depth of the pipes should be lower than the local frost line to prevent pipe rupture due to freezing in winter. If an external water tank is used, the tank capacity should be determined according to the number of users (generally calculated as 50 - 100 liters per person per day), and the tank's tightness should be regularly checked to prevent sewage infiltration. A removable valve should be installed at the connection between the water pipe and the toilet's water inlet for easy subsequent maintenance or replacement of components. After all connections are installed, a water flow test should be conducted for at least 30 minutes to check for any leakage at the connections. Only after confirming no abnormalities should the system be put into use.

Drainage System Setup

Drainage pipes should maintain a slope of 2% - 5% to ensure that sewage can naturally flow into the septic tank or municipal sewage network. If PVC drainage pipes are used, special glue should be used to seal the connections to prevent odors or sewage leakage. The capacity of the septic tank should be designed according to the number of users (for example, for 10 people, a capacity of not less than 2 cubic meters is recommended). The tank should be located close to the toilet but at a distance of more than 5 meters for easy cleaning and to reduce odor impact. A odor-proof trap (S-shaped or P-shaped) should be installed at the connection between the drainage pipe and the septic tank to prevent odor backflow using the water seal principle. If the mobile toilet is located in an area without a municipal sewage network, the septic tank should be regularly cleaned to prevent blockage or overflow.

Pipe Installation Details

When cutting pipes, professional tools (such as pipe cutters or hacksaws) should be used to ensure a flat cut. The burrs inside and outside the pipe ends should be sanded or scraped off to prevent damage to the sealing ring or leakage during connection. When connecting pipe fittings, evenly apply PVC special glue on the outside of the pipe spigot and the inside of the fitting socket, quickly insert and rotate 90 degrees, maintain pressure for 10 - 15 seconds for initial fixation, and avoid applying force or water flow within 24 hours. If metal pipe fittings are used, threaded connections should be made and Teflon tape should be wound to ensure tightness.

Freeze-Proof and Thermal Insulation Treatments

In cold regions, water supply and drainage pipes should be wrapped with foam insulation pipes or wound with electric tracing tapes to prevent pipe rupture due to low temperatures. If there is a water tank inside the toilet, polystyrene foam boards or glass wool insulation layers can be covered on the outside of the tank. In extreme weather conditions, it is recommended to drain the water from the tank to prevent damage from freezing and expansion. A thermal insulation sleeve can be installed at the end of the drainage pipe to reduce heat loss and ensure smooth sewage flow.
