Mobile Toilet Waste Treatment Methods

Quản trị 12 tháng 10, 2026

There are various waste treatment methods for mobile toilets, mainly including chemical treatment, biological treatment, physical treatment, and integrated technologies. Details are as follows:

  1. Chemical Treatment Method
By adding chemical agents such as chlorine gas and sodium hydroxide, the organic matter in the waste is rapidly separated from water. This method can effectively inhibit microbial activity, reduce the release of odors and harmful gases (such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide), and is suitable for scenarios with high hygiene requirements. However, attention should be paid to the safe storage and use of chemicals to avoid secondary pollution.

  2. Biological Treatment Method
Utilizing the decomposition ability of microorganisms, through fluidized-bed anaerobic digestion reactors and filtration systems, excreta is converted into harmless reclaimed water. This process simulates natural degradation, and the products can be used for irrigation or flushing, achieving resource recycling. Its advantage lies in high environmental friendliness, but reaction conditions (such as temperature and pH value) need to be controlled to ensure microbial activity.

  3. Flush and Non-flush Suction Types
Flush-type mobile toilets are equipped with a water tank on the top and a sewage tank at the bottom, flushing excreta with water flow; non-flush types directly receive waste in the bottom sewage tank. Both require regular sewage suction, while the circulating flush type uses an intermittent aerobic-anaerobic treatment system combined with biofilm technology to recycle treated sewage for flushing, significantly reducing water consumption and suction frequency.

  4. Dry Packing and Foam Sealing Technologies
The dry-packing type uses biodegradable plastic bags to receive waste, automatically replacing new bags after use, requiring no water throughout the process, and is suitable for water-scarce areas; the foam-sealing type generates foam through a special foaming agent to cover the inside of the toilet bowl, blocking odors and reducing flushing water volume, with significant water-saving effects.

  5. Microbial and Vacuum Sewage Systems
The microbial type uses solid-liquid separation devices to treat feces and urine separately: feces are decomposed by microorganisms into fertilizer, and urine is purified into reclaimed water for reuse; the vacuum sewage system uses negative pressure to quickly suction sewage to a collection container through a vacuum pump, with high efficiency and low water consumption, effectively preventing leakage and odor diffusion.

  6. Other Physical Treatment Methods
These include compression storage (reducing waste volume through mechanical compression to delay treatment needs), anaerobic digestion (microorganisms decompose excreta to produce biogas and fertilizer), multi-functional sewage outlets (equipped with manual cleaning functions, such as fecal storage tanks or septic tanks), and mechanical treatment (reducing environmental impact through solid-liquid separation, disinfection, and other equipment). These methods are mostly used in specific scenarios, such as field operations or temporary events.
