Mobile Toilet Vacuum

Quản trị 20 tháng 9, 2026

The vacuum type of mobile toilets refers to environmentally friendly public toilets that employ vacuum suction technology. Its core principle is to achieve efficient sewage discharge and water conservation through vacuum negative pressure.

Technical Principles and Core Components

Vacuum toilets utilize a vacuum pump to create a negative pressure environment within the pipes. Through the pressure difference, waste is rapidly sucked from the toilet bowl into a closed piping system and ultimately transported to a fecal storage tank or treatment device. Its core components include:

  1. Vacuum Toilet Bowl: It features a special design. During flushing, high-pressure gas is used to clean the surface of the toilet bowl while negative pressure is employed to suck in waste. The water consumption per flush is only 0.5 - 1 liter, saving about 80% of water compared to traditional toilets.
  2. Closed Piping System: The pipe diameter is relatively small (usually 50 - 100 millimeters). Waste is transported through negative pressure, which is less prone to blockages and supports same-floor discharge, eliminating the need for deep burial of traditional septic tanks.
  3. Vacuum Pump and Fecal Storage Tank: The vacuum pump provides continuous negative pressure power, while the fecal storage tank is used for temporary storage of waste. Some designs support regular removal or on-site treatment.

Technical Advantages and Application Scenarios

  1. Water Conservation and Environmental Protection: The extremely low water consumption per flush makes it suitable for water-scarce areas or temporary event scenarios. For example, mobile toilets in scenic spots and construction sites significantly reduce water consumption through vacuum technology.
  2. Hygiene and Odor Control: The closed piping system effectively isolates the diffusion of odors. Combined with the high-pressure gas flushing function, it significantly improves the user experience. The vacuum suction public toilets launched by Shandong Mingqi Technology have solved the problems of poor hygiene and high maintenance costs in traditional public toilets through intelligent hardware devices.
  3. Flexible Deployment: Some vacuum toilets adopt a factory-prefabricated design. They integrate components such as toilet bowls, sinks, and smart mirrors inside and can be quickly transported to the site and put into use, meeting emergency or temporary needs.

Technical Development and Innovation

  1. Dry Vacuum Toilet: A utility model patent applied for in China in 2022 proposes a variant that uses bamboo fiber bags to encapsulate waste and achieves complete water-free operation through composting treatment. It is suitable for extremely water-scarce environments or ecologically sensitive areas.
  2. Historical Evolution: This technology was first invented by James Kemper in 1975 and applied to aircraft toilets. Later, it was extended to high-speed trains, ships, and other means of transportation, and gradually entered civilian fields such as residential areas and scenic spots. A typical domestic case is that Yueliang Village in Hengshui City, Hebei Province, completed the renovation of vacuum toilets throughout the village in 2017 and was known as the "First Vacuum Toilet Village in Asia".
