Usage of Mobile Toilets
The usage of mobile toilets varies depending on their types, which can be broadly categorized into eco-friendly mobile toilets, portable mobile toilets, and factory-prefabricated mobile toilets. Here are the operational methods for each type:

Eco-Friendly Mobile Toilets These toilets are designed with a focus on user-friendliness and experience, featuring spacious and bright interiors equipped with independent door locks for privacy. When using, close the door lock tightly first, then choose the type of seat cushion (such as disposable sanitary seat cushions) and the defecation method according to personal habits: some models offer both sitting and squatting options, allowing users to switch freely. Waste treatment typically employs ecological degradation technology, achieving harmlessness through microbial decomposition or chemical treatment without the need for external sewage pipes. After use, check if the door lock is reset to avoid affecting subsequent users.
Portable Mobile Toilets This type is characterized by its lightweight and detachable design, commonly used in outdoor activities or temporary settings. Before use, secure the toilet base to ensure stability; its structure includes a snap-fit mechanism, allowing the upper and lower parts (such as the seat ring and waste storage tank) to be separated by pressing both snaps simultaneously. When defecating, simply open the seat ring; some models support manual water flushing, with water carrying waste into the black water tank below; if it is a dry design, degradation agents are required. After use, press the seat ring to the closed position, press the snaps again to remove the black water tank, tilt it to the designated sewage outlet to empty the waste, clean it, and reinstall it. Note: The black water tank has limited capacity and requires regular cleaning to prevent overflow.
Factory-Prefabricated Mobile Toilets These toilets are mostly assembled in the factory and can be put into use after simply connecting water and electricity on-site. For example, the 'bus mobile men's toilet' adopted by the Jinci Scenic Spot in Shanxi during the May Day holiday in 2026 was created by modifying the vehicle's interior structure, adding urinals and ventilation systems to quickly form an independent sanitary unit. Usage is similar to that of conventional public toilets, but attention should be paid to signage (such as temporarily adjusted gender signs) to avoid entering the wrong one. Some prefabricated toilets are also equipped with intelligent monitoring systems that can display usage status or remaining capacity in real-time, improving management efficiency.
General Precautions:
- Before use, confirm the equipment status (such as door locks, water tank capacity) to avoid mid-use failures;
- The black water tank of portable toilets must be disposed of according to environmental protection requirements, and random dumping is prohibited;
- If the factory-prefabricated toilet involves water and electricity connections, it should be operated by professionals to ensure safety.
