Mobile Toilet

Quản trị 20 tháng 9, 2026

Mobile toilets generally refer to portable toilets, which are facilities that can be moved as a whole to provide toilet services to the public or customers. There are also self-made portable restrooms and portable commodes made by individuals.

Mobile toilets are typically composed of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), flooring, sanitary ware, walls, washing facilities, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. In terms of structural form, they can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. The single-structure type is relatively independent and simple, while the composite-structure type is more complex and may integrate multiple functional modules. According to the method of movement, there are lifting and handling mobile toilets, which are usually larger in size and require equipment such as cranes for movement; and powered and towed mobile toilets, where the powered type can move on its own and the towed type requires vehicle traction. Based on sewage treatment methods, they can be classified as flush and non-flush suction-type mobile toilets. The flush type is similar to traditional toilets, using water flow to wash away feces; the non-flush suction type uses suction equipment to collect feces into a storage tank. Recirculating flush mobile toilets can purify and recycle sewage, saving water resources. Dry-packing mobile toilets use special materials to pack feces for easy subsequent treatment.

Mobile toilets have many advantages. They can be conveniently transported to any place where toilets need to be installed, such as stations, docks, tourist attractions, and other places with high pedestrian traffic, as well as newly built residential areas and large construction sites with temporary needs. Moreover, they can be used repeatedly and have characteristics such as mobility, modularity, and ease of transportation.

In addition to professional mobile toilets, there are also cases where individuals use materials such as buckets to make portable restrooms. For example, some people create portable restrooms using several buckets, installing universal wheels for movement, cutting buckets and fixing wooden strips to build a frame, installing wooden doors for privacy, connecting drainage pipes for easy drainage, and making showerheads to meet bathing needs. Furthermore, there are portable commodes, which are suitable for the elderly and pregnant women at home, allowing them to use them conveniently at different indoor locations.
