Mobile Toilet Template Tutorial
Quản trị 23 tháng 9, 2026
Mobile toilets can be created by modifying water storage tanks or buckets. Below are two specific template tutorials for making them:

Plan 1: Using a water storage tank and a pallet
- Mobile base construction: Install universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of a plastic pallet to ensure mobility. The pallet should be made of a strong load-bearing material, such as high-density polyethylene (HDPE), to support the weight of the water storage tank and internal facilities.
- Water storage tank modification: Recycle a water storage tank with a diameter of at least 60 cm. Use an angle grinder to cut along the marked line at the top to create an opening. Stack two open tanks upside down and fix the outer frame with self-tapping screws to form a double-layer water storage structure. The upper layer is for clean water, and the lower layer is for storing waste.
- Functional area cutting and sealing: Cut a rectangular opening 180 cm high and 50 cm wide on the side of the tank. Polish the edges smoothly to avoid scratches. Drill a 5 cm diameter drainage hole in the interior floor, install a 45° elbow and PVC pipes, and seal the joints with waterproof glue to prevent leakage.
- Sanitary facility installation: When fixing the toilet, pre-embed screws at the bottom of the tank and apply glue around them to prevent odor diffusion. Select a 5-liter water tank and control the water level with a float valve. Connect the shower system to the top water storage tank and use a micro-pump for pressurization.
- Sink and door: Fix a 1.5 cm diameter water pipe with wall clips, install hot and cold water taps and a stainless steel basin sink. Make the door from a 12 mm wooden board, use 304 stainless steel hinges, and adopt a rotating door handle design to save space.
Plan 2: Using a water storage bucket modification
- Basic structure division: Split a 50 cm diameter water storage bucket vertically in the middle and keep the upper half as the roof. Install universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board and reinforce the edge of the bucket with 5 cm x 5 cm wooden strips to enhance overall stability.
- Door frame and wall construction: Cut a 60 cm high opening on the side of the bucket, install 5 cm wide sponge strips to form the door frame, and embed 3 mm thick plastic soft boards to create the walls. The roof is designed by inverting the upper half of the bucket, and the edges are sealed with waterproof tape.
- Waste disposal system treatment: Drill an 8 cm diameter hole at the bottom of the bucket and install a drainage pipe to form a floor drain structure. Drill a hole on the side to connect a 1-inch straight joint, and install a 3-liter small water storage device on the top to achieve flushing function by gravity.
- Heating and sanitary facilities: Connect the water pipe of the bathroom heater to a three-way joint to provide warm air in winter. Choose a portable folding toilet. When fixing the water tank, reserve a maintenance opening. Extend the outlet pipe to the door as the water inlet for the sink, and drill a hole in the door to install a quick-connect joint.
Core commonalities: Both plans include a mobile base, a water storage system, waste disposal, and a door structure. The materials are low-cost (recycled water storage tanks/buckets) and suitable for temporary venues or outdoor use. When implementing, it is essential to focus on checking the sealing to avoid leakage and odor problems.
