Mobile Toilet Sewage Treatment

Quản trị 27 tháng 9, 2026

There are mainly five types of sewage treatment methods for mobile toilets: direct discharge, packaging, microbial degradation, vacuum collection, and water flushing. Different methods are suitable for different scenarios and each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Direct discharge is suitable for places with municipal sewage pipelines and relatively close distances, such as urban streets and parks. The principle is that sewage is directly connected to the municipal sewage pipeline through pipes and treated collectively by the urban sewage treatment system. The advantages of this method are low construction and operation costs and simple operation, as it only requires connecting the pipes to the municipal pipeline. However, it also has obvious drawbacks, namely its dependence on the sewage pipeline. Once the pipeline is blocked or poorly maintained, it will affect the normal use of the mobile toilet.

Packaging is suitable for areas with a large flow of people but where frequent cleaning is inconvenient, such as large-scale event venues. In this method, feces are compressed into blocks and stored in the toilet tank, while sewage is discharged through drainage pipes. Its advantages are effective odor reduction and ease of transportation and treatment, as the feces are packaged into blocks, resulting in less odor emission and facilitating subsequent transportation and centralized treatment. However, the equipment cost is high, and packaging materials need to be replenished regularly, increasing operation costs.

Microbial degradation is suitable for places where water access is inconvenient and environmental protection requirements are high, such as scenic spots and野外作业场地 (field operation sites). It uses microbial communities to decompose feces into water, carbon dioxide, and a small amount of residue. The advantages of this method are environmental friendliness and pollution-free nature, as well as simple maintenance. The decomposed products are harmless to the environment and do not require complex maintenance operations. However, the treatment effect is greatly affected by temperature. Microorganisms need a certain amount of time to adapt to the environment, and the treatment efficiency may decrease when the temperature is low or the environment changes significantly.

Vacuum collection is suitable for places with a high density of people and high hygiene requirements, such as airports and high-speed rail stations. Sewage and feces are quickly collected into storage tanks through vacuum pumps, resulting in rapid sewage discharge and effective prevention of odor overflow. However, the equipment cost is high, the operating energy consumption is large, and the maintenance technical requirements are also high, requiring professional personnel for operation and maintenance.

Water flushing is the most common treatment method, where sewage is discharged into the municipal pipeline or septic tank through pipes. The design of the sewage discharge system must comply with relevant national standards, such as the Urban Public Toilet Design Standard CJJ14 - 2016, to ensure smooth and environmentally friendly sewage discharge. When using it, the septic tank needs to be cleaned regularly to avoid blockage and odor generation. At the same time, attention should be paid to water conservation to reduce water resource waste.
