How About Mobile Toilets

Quản trị 08 tháng 10, 2026

Mobile toilets have significant advantages, but there are also some issues that require attention. Their overall applicability needs to be evaluated in combination with specific scenarios.

Advantages:

  1. High mobility: Mobile toilets can be flexibly relocated according to site requirements, making them particularly suitable for temporary events, construction sites, or scenarios that require frequent changes of location, thus avoiding the resource waste caused by the demolition of traditional fixed toilets.
  2. Diverse treatment methods: They offer flexible technological choices, such as water-flushing, packing, foam-sealing, and biodegradation, allowing the most appropriate treatment technology to be selected based on the usage environment (e.g., the presence or absence of water and sewage pipelines, climatic conditions, etc.).
  3. Small footprint: Compared to traditional fixed toilets, mobile toilets occupy less land resources, making them especially suitable for scenarios with limited land resources or where temporary land occupation is required.
  4. Comprehensive and durable configuration: Some products are manufactured using high-strength materials (e.g., galvanized square steel, color-coated steel plates), ensuring structural stability. They are equipped with safety locks, non-slip floors, flushing equipment, washbasins, lighting, and ventilation systems, with a service life of over 15 years, meeting long-term usage needs.
  5. Significant technological innovation: For example, the waterless biodegradation technology decomposes fecal matter through microorganisms, achieving “waterless flushing, no odor, and no pollution,” and can convert excreta into organic fertilizer. In field tests at 10 key scenic spots in Sichuan, this technology saved over 3,000 tons of water annually and reduced operation and maintenance costs by about 40%, combining environmental protection with economic efficiency.

Pain points:

  1. Pipeline dependency limits site selection: Water-flushing mobile toilets require connection to water and sewage pipelines, making them difficult to apply in water-scarce or sewage-free areas (e.g., remote scenic spots, arid regions).
  2. High water consumption: Traditional water-flushing mobile toilets can consume thousands of tons of water annually, which is unfriendly to water-scarce areas.
  3. High operation and maintenance costs: The average annual maintenance cost of traditional mobile toilets may exceed 80,000 yuan, and complaints due to odors and hygiene issues are common (e.g., complaints accounted for over 15% in a certain scenic spot).
  4. Complex operation and maintenance for some technologies: For example, foam-sealing technology requires regular addition of foaming agents, has a high equipment failure rate, and suffers from poor foam fluidity in low-temperature environments, affecting user experience.

In conclusion, the applicability of mobile toilets needs to be evaluated based on specific scenarios: in areas with well-developed pipelines and sufficient water resources, water-flushing or foam-sealing options are feasible; in water-scarce or pipeline-free areas, biodegradation technology is more advantageous.
