Problems Caused by Mobile Toilets

Quản trị 01 tháng 10, 2026

The problems caused by mobile toilets mainly include inconvenience in use, difficulty in ensuring hygiene, challenges in protecting privacy, relatively high costs, and the presence of core pain points.

Inconvenience in Use: Mobile toilets are not tightly connected to the ground, making them prone to shaking or even tipping over during use, which poses safety hazards to users. Additionally, their relatively small internal space makes it difficult for users to perform comprehensive hygiene cleaning of all body parts. For obese individuals or those with lower limb mobility issues, using mobile toilets is even more challenging, as entering, exiting, and turning around can be restricted.

Difficulty in Ensuring Hygiene: Due to their small volume, mobile toilets can quickly develop odors and breed bacteria if not cleaned promptly, seriously affecting the public's user experience. Moreover, mobile toilets are typically cleaned manually, and if cleaning is not timely, not only will hygiene conditions deteriorate, but there may also be potential epidemic risks. Furthermore, if water facilities are left idle or unused for extended periods, technical issues such as pipe ruptures and leaks may arise, further impacting hygiene conditions.

Challenges in Protecting Privacy: Mobile toilets have limited space and cannot provide users with sufficient private space, making them vulnerable to being observed by others during use. Additionally, cleaning work may be carried out at any time, and users may encounter cleaning staff while using the toilet, causing psychological distress to both parties.

Relatively High Costs: In terms of maintenance, mobile toilets require significant investment in labor, cleaning, and transportation costs. At the same time, their repair costs are also relatively high because different components such as sewage, water supply, and electricity require independent supply systems, making repairs more difficult. Once a fault occurs, repair costs can increase significantly.

Presence of Core Pain Points: Mobile toilets rely on pipelines, making site selection difficult. Additionally, they consume a large amount of water resources, and their operation and maintenance costs remain high. In cultural and tourism scenarios, issues such as odor control, fecal waste treatment, and equipment durability during peak visitor flows directly affect tourists' satisfaction. For example, the annual maintenance cost of traditional mobile toilets in a well-known scenic spot exceeds 80,000 yuan, and complaints due to odors and hygiene issues account for more than 15% of the total complaints annually.
