What is the Principle of Mobile Toilets

Quản trị 21 tháng 9, 2026

The principles of mobile toilets vary depending on the type, mainly including water injection flushing, water-saving treatment, sewage treatment, and special lifting mechanisms, etc.

Ordinary mobile toilets adopt the principle of water injection and flushing. The hand-washing tank is usually located on the left side, and users can directly open it to inject water. There is a foot-operated water outlet device below. The fresh water tank is located on the front right side and can also be filled with water by opening it. This design is simple and straightforward, suitable for temporary events or short-term use scenarios, but requires regular water replenishment and sewage treatment.

The core of mobile environmental-friendly public toilets lies in water-saving and sewage treatment technologies. Its water-saving technology achieves a flushing effect of only 0.46 liters of water per person by automatically collecting hand-washing water and adding special agents. It is equipped with an independent toilet pit zoning treatment system inside: the urine channel uses gravity self-flow to reduce water consumption; the feces channel is cleaned by a piston-type scraper mechanical device to avoid direct flushing. There are various sewage treatment methods:

  • Circulating water flushing type: Equipped with intermittent aerobic and anaerobic treatment devices, it adds biological strains and uses biofilm technology to accelerate the decomposition of fecal sewage. The treated water can be recycled for flushing, significantly reducing water consumption.
  • Dry packing type: Without a water flushing device, excrement is received by biodegradable plastic bags. After use, the bags are automatically replaced and collected for centralized treatment, suitable for water-scarce areas or scenarios with high environmental protection requirements.
  • Other types: For example, the foam sealing type reduces odors by covering excrement with foam; the microbial type uses microorganisms to decompose excrement for harmless treatment.

Dutch lifting public toilets adopt a special lifting mechanism. Its stainless steel box is equipped with a hydraulic system, and its operating principle mimics that of an elevator shaft: it completely disappears below the ground during the day, not affecting the urban landscape; it pops up at 11 p.m. for use and automatically descends at 4 a.m. The manhole cover fits tightly, and the slot automatically locks when it rises, ensuring safety and concealment. This design combines space utilization with environmental protection needs and is suitable for high-density urban areas.

Different types of mobile toilets meet the toilet needs in various scenarios by optimizing structural design, water-saving technologies, or space utilization methods, while also taking into account environmental protection and practicality.
