Mobile Toilet Outdoor Planning
Quản trị 23 tháng 9, 2026
Mobile toilet outdoor planning requires a comprehensive consideration of site adaptability, facility configuration, pedestrian flow adaptation, special scenario handling, approval and filing, operation and maintenance cleaning, and removal and recycling to ensure functionality and safety.

Site Adaptability
- Terrain and Drainage: The site selection should avoid low-lying and flood-prone areas, prioritizing hard surfaces (such as concrete and asphalt) with a load-bearing capacity of over 1.5 tons per toilet. For example, in Nanchang's outdoor event planning, it is explicitly required to avoid the core areas of green belts to ensure smooth drainage.
- Safety Distance: Toilets should be located at least 30 meters away from food processing areas and water sources. In Nanchang's planning, mobile toilets should be at least 5 meters away from sensitive areas such as dining areas and entrances/exits, and at least 15 meters away from residential buildings and schools to reduce odor and sanitation risks.
Facility Configuration
- Basic Functions: Each toilet should be equipped with a flushing system, a sink (with soap dispenser), ventilation, and emergency lighting. Equipment used in winter should be fitted with insulation layers to prevent pipe freezing.
- Sanitation Management: The lessor should provide daily cleaning services, including disinfection and waste removal, and be equipped with anti-mosquito and fly facilities (such as fly killers). The toilets should provide hand sanitizer, toilet paper, and post usage instructions to enhance the user experience.
Pedestrian Flow Adaptation
- Toilet Ratio: It is recommended to allocate one toilet per 50 to 80 people and reserve 20% spare units to cope with sudden surges. For example, in Nanchang, for large-scale events with over 500 attendees, at least one toilet should be provided per 500 people, with a recommended male-to-female toilet ratio of 1:1.5.
Special Scenario Adaptation
- High-Temperature Weather: Rent mobile toilets with sunshades, equipped with cooling spray devices. Water tanks should be fitted with sun protection and insulation covers to prevent excessive water temperature.
- Strong Wind Weather: When outdoor wind speeds exceed Level 6, use ground anchors or weight blocks to secure the toilets and prevent tipping. At the same time, lay anti-slip mats and set up night lighting or reflective signs to reduce accident risks.
Approval, Filing, and Operation and Maintenance
- Approval Process: Applications should be submitted to the urban management department 7 working days in advance, providing site plans, facility parameter tables, and emergency plans. Large-scale events (with over 500 attendees) should also be reported to the public security department, with dedicated personnel assigned to maintain on-site order.
- Sewage Disposal Plan: Provide integrated sewage collection tanks or temporary septic tanks to ensure compliant disposal. Cleaning frequency should be adjusted according to the season, with sewage pumped every 2 to 3 hours in summer and extended to 6 hours in winter.
Removal and Environmental Recycling
After the event, thoroughly disinfect and dismantle the toilet fixtures, and transport the sewage to compliant disposal sites to avoid environmental pollution. Inspect and replace vulnerable parts (such as seals and flush valves) before storing them in the warehouse for future use.
