Mobile Toilet Modification Tutorial
Quản trị 23 tháng 9, 2026
There are mainly two methods for modifying mobile toilets: using a water storage tank and a pallet, and using a plastic bucket. Details are as follows:

Making a Mobile Toilet Using a Water Storage Tank and a Pallet
- Prepare Materials: Plastic pallet, universal wheels, water storage tank (can be recycled from a garbage station), angle grinder, self-tapping screws, hole-opening tools, elbows, water pipes, glue, toilet, faucet, pipe cap, stainless steel basin, wooden board, hinges, door handle, etc.
- Production Steps:
- Install Universal Wheels: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of the pallet for easy movement.
- Process the Water Storage Tank: Use an angle grinder to cut along the marked line on the top of the water storage tank, remove the top to form an open tank; invert another open-top water storage tank and stack it on the first tank, securing the outer frame with self-tapping screws.
- Cut the Doorway: Cut a rectangular opening 180 cm high and 50 cm wide on the outer frame of the water storage tank as the doorway, and cut the tank body accordingly.
- Install the Drainage System: Drill a hole in the floor inside the water storage tank, insert an elbow from the bottom up, connect it to a water pipe, and seal the gaps with glue, cutting off the excess water pipe; place the toilet over the drainage outlet and secure it with glue around the toilet.
- Install the Faucet and Sink: Secure the water pipe on the wall bracket, install the faucet, fix the pipe cap with screws under the faucet, connect the pipe cap to the water pipe, drill a hole at the bottom as the drainage outlet, drill a hole in the pipe cap, apply glass glue, and fix the sink made of a stainless steel basin.
- Install Other Facilities: Connect the water inlet pipe to the toilet tank, connect the shower hose, install the shower bracket and toilet seat, and install a showerhead made of a water pipe.
- Make the Door: Bring a wooden board, fix hinges on the frame of the water storage tank, connect the other side of the hinges to the wooden board to form the toilet door, and install a door handle on the door.
Making a Mobile Toilet Using a Plastic Bucket
- Prepare Materials: Plastic bucket, wheel device, wooden strips, composite wooden boards, iron sheet, wooden floor, anti-corrosion paint, large trash can, PVC pipe, strong glue, three-way connector, epoxy resin glue, etc.
- Production Steps:
- Install Wheels: Cut the bucket body at the 1/3 position and install a wheel device at the bottom for easy movement.
- Raise the Bucket Body and Make the Door: Nail several wooden strips into the bucket body to raise its height, cut two slits in the bucket body as the toilet door, fix two composite wooden boards on the edge of the iron sheet to make the door sturdy, place the iron sheet in the middle of the raised wooden strips, cover the top with a cut plastic bucket, and overlap the iron sheet connections to prevent peeping.
- Make the Door and Anti-corrosion Treatment: Apply anti-corrosion paint on the wooden strips, make the toilet door with wooden floors that are overlapped and screwed, install hinges, and test the door opening and closing.
- Install the Drainage and Water Storage Devices: Drill holes and install drainage holes, take a large trash can for modification, drill holes in the bucket body and bottom, and install water pipe connectors to serve as the water storage tank for showering.
- Make the Showerhead: Make a showerhead with a PVC pipe and drill holes evenly with an electric drill to control the water flow.
- Install Water Pipes: Connect the water pipes one by one with strong glue, connect a three-way connector to the main water pipe, divert part of the water to supply the sink, and connect another three-way connector inside, with one end for showering.
- Install the Toilet: After installing the toilet, fill the gap at the bottom with epoxy resin glue.
