Mobile Toilet Making Tutorial
Quản trị 21 tháng 9, 2026
There are mainly two ways to make a mobile toilet as follows:

Making a Portable Toilet Using a Water Storage Tank
- Basic Preparation: Select a 100L food-grade PE water storage tank from brands like Chahua or Meiliya. Install heavy-duty swivel casters with brakes at the bottom, capable of bearing over 50kg, for easy movement and fixation.
- Tank Modification: Drill two holes on the side of the tank. One is for connecting an outlet pipe, fitted with a 2-分管 and a small faucet, and the other is for installing an overflow pipe to prevent water from overflowing.
- Frame Construction: Use PVC pipes to create a square frame measuring 1.2m x 0.8m. Wrap it with waterproof Oxford cloth and leave a ventilation opening at the top to ensure proper air circulation inside.
- Facility Installation: Place a folding toilet on the tank, choosing a biodegradable plastic bag type like the Nature's Head portable model. Place a small sink beside it and connect it to the outlet pipe of the water storage tank for simple washing.
- Detail Handling: Install a float switch inside the tank to automatically remind you to add water when the level is low. Place anti-slip mats at the bottom to prevent slipping during movement. The wastewater can be used to flush the toilet or water plants. In winter, wrap the water storage tank with insulation cotton to prevent the pipes from freezing and cracking.
Making a More Complex Portable Toilet Using a Water Storage Tank
- Tank Division and Wheel Installation: Use an angle grinder to split the water storage tank in half. Fix swivel casters at the four corners of a wooden board.
- Height and Door Setting: Take several wooden strips and fix them to the upper side of the tank with self-tapping screws to increase the height. Cut a door opening on the side of the water storage tank.
- Wall and Roof Construction: Install sponge strips on both sides of the door opening to form a door frame. Insert plastic soft boards between the wooden strips to create elevated walls. Place the upper half of the water storage tank on top of the wooden strips as the roof.
- Appearance Beautification and Door Making: Paint the wooden strips with white waterproof paint to enhance the aesthetics. Use foam strips to拼接 (here, 'splice' or 'assemble' can be used as a more natural English equivalent, but keeping the original format for demonstration) discarded honeycomb wooden boards to make a simple door.
- Drainage and Water System Installation: Drill a hole at the bottom of the tank and install a drainage pipe to form a floor drain. Drill holes on the side and bottom of a plastic bucket and connect them with direct fittings. Place the plastic bucket on the roof to form a small water storage device. Connect a water pipe-made bath heater. Install a tee under the inlet pipe and connect it to a showerhead. Place the toilet on the drainage pipe opening and install a water tank, fixing it with glass glue. Connect the drainage pipe to a sewage bucket. Horizontally connect a water pipe to the outlet pipe tee and extend it to the door as the inlet pipe for the sink. Install fittings and hoses, and drill a hole in the door to install a fitting.
