How to Solve Mobile Toilet Leakage

Quản trị 06 tháng 10, 2026

The solution to mobile toilet leakage should be selected based on the specific cause. Common situations and handling methods are as follows:

1. Blocked Drain Pipe
If leakage is caused by a blocked pipe, prioritize using pipe unclogging tools (such as a plunger or spring auger) or chemical unclogging agents for疏通 (unclogging). If the blockage is stubborn, contact professionals to use high-pressure water jets or mechanical unclogging equipment for treatment. Note: Chemical unclogging agents may corrode pipes. Confirm the pipe material before use and wear protective gloves.

2. Damaged Faucet
After closing the main water valve and draining the remaining water, check if the internal sealing gasket of the faucet is aged or detached. If the gasket is damaged, disassemble the faucet and replace it with a new gasket; if the faucet body is cracked or the valve core is damaged, the entire faucet needs to be replaced. Operation Tip: Take a photo of the faucet model before replacement to facilitate the purchase of matching accessories.

3. Loose or Aged Pipe Joints

  • Non-metallic pipes (such as PVC pipes): Tighten the joint screws or replace them with new ones. For temporary leakage stopping, clean the leakage area with a towel, apply PVC glue, wrap it with 3-5 layers of Teflon tape, apply glue again and repeat the wrapping, and finally reinforce it with insulating tape.
  • Metal pipes: The damaged section needs to be cut off and re-welded. It is recommended that professionals perform the operation to avoid safety hazards.
    Key Point: Ensure the interface is dry when welding metal pipes, and conduct a pressure test after welding.

4. Poor Sealing of the Toilet or Damaged Drain Valve
If water is seeping from the connection between the bottom of the toilet and the ground, it may be due to an aged sealing gasket or a displaced flange plate. Professional personnel need to be invited to reinstall the toilet and replace the sealing parts; if the drain valve cannot close completely, causing leakage, check if the valve body is stuck or the spring has failed, and replace the drain valve assembly if necessary. Serious Situation: If the toilet body is cracked, it needs to be replaced entirely.

5. Damaged Waterproof Layer

  • Minor leakage: Use penetrating waterproof materials (such as waterproofing agents) to spray or pour on the ground and pipe connections, and remove surface residues after 24 hours.
  • Damaged connections: Apply plastic steel mud around the toilet, floor drains, and other areas to form a waterproof barrier.
    Note: Thoroughly clean the base surface before construction to ensure there is no dust or oil. Waterproof materials should be mixed according to the instructions on the manual.

General Precautions Before Repair:

  • Close the main water valve and drain the remaining water to avoid splashing during repair;
  • Wear goggles and gloves when using chemical unclogging agents or glue to prevent skin or eye contact;
  • If you lack repair experience or the leakage location is hidden (such as pipes inside walls), it is recommended to contact professionals for handling to avoid expanding the damage.
