Mobile Toilet Knowledge

Quản trị 21 tháng 9, 2026

Mobile toilets are facilities that can be moved as a whole and provide toilet services to the public. They are suitable for various places and come in multiple types with distinct features.

Suitable Locations

Mobile toilets are suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential communities, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. These locations often have temporary or periodic demands for toilets, or it is relatively difficult to build fixed public toilets. Mobile toilets can effectively make up for the shortcomings of insufficient public toilet supply and unreasonable layout. For example, in 2023, the Lanzhou Yellow River Scenic Area successively installed and put into use mobile toilets.

Composition Structure

Generally, they consist of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor slab, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, and mobile device. Different structural components work together to ensure the normal operation of mobile toilets.

Material Development

Initially, they were made of materials such as wood, with simple structures and functions, and were prone to absorbing odors. Later, they gradually evolved to use materials like fiberglass-reinforced plastic and polyethylene, which have significantly improved in terms of durability and odor resistance.

Type Classification

  • By structural form: They can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets.
  • By mobility method: They are classified into lifting and handling mobile toilets, and powered and trailer-mounted mobile toilets.
  • By sewage treatment method: They are categorized into water-flushing and non-water-flushing suction-type mobile toilets, circulating water-flushing mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets.

Features and Advantages

They can be conveniently transported to any place where toilets need to be set up and can be used repeatedly. They have the advantages of mobility, combinability, and ease of transportation.

Design Principles

The design should follow the principles of mobility and convenience, economic durability; environmental protection and ecological friendliness, beneficial to the environment; improving efficiency, and promoting humanity. The overall structure should be lightweight, using lightweight and durable materials as much as possible, while being sturdy. The height and width of the toilet should be controlled, and the mobile device should be complete and reasonable. In cold northern regions, to adapt to the cold weather, the interior of the walls will be insulated, the entrance door will be a thickened titanium-magnesium alloy door with a dedicated occupied/unoccupied lock, and it will be equipped with a 304 stainless steel squat toilet and a PE energy-saving water tank.
