Mobile Toilet Incidents

Quản trị 21 tháng 9, 2026

There are two incidents related to mobile toilets, namely the Mobile Toilet Falling Incident in Spain and the "Tidal Toilet" Controversy in Huizhou West Lake Scenic Area, Guangdong.

Mobile Toilet Falling Incident in Spain

Recently, a shocking incident of a mobile toilet falling occurred on a century-old bridge in Seville, Spain. A mobile toilet fell from the top of the bridge's pylon, and this thrilling moment was captured by passengers in passing vehicles. The footage showed that the mobile toilet eventually landed on the central lane of the highway, creating an extremely dangerous scene. It is understood that construction was underway on the top of the bridge at the time of the incident, which may have been the direct cause of the mobile toilet's fall. This incident not only posed a serious threat to passing vehicles and pedestrians but also raised public concerns about bridge construction safety and the securing measures for mobile toilets. Relevant departments should strengthen supervision of bridge construction safety, ensure that all safety measures during the construction process are effectively implemented, and conduct strict inspections of the securing and installation of temporary facilities such as mobile toilets to prevent similar incidents from happening again.

"Tidal Toilet" Controversy in Huizhou West Lake Scenic Area, Guangdong

A "tidal toilet" in Huizhou West Lake Scenic Area, Guangdong, has recently sparked widespread attention and controversy online. The toilet has a manually adjustable "toggleable sign" at the entrance, which is used to switch between gender displays by toggling it left or right. However, this design has a very low threshold for modification, allowing ordinary tourists to easily change the sign, which can easily lead to confusion between male and female restroom areas and even cause restroom chaos and privacy breaches. Although the scenic area's customer service initially claimed that the signs were operated exclusively by staff and that there were dedicated guides on-site, a reporter's visit revealed that the signs could still be toggled freely, and there was no one on duty or guiding at the scene. In response to this issue, the toilet involved has taken measures to remove all toggleable signs and will soon replace them with fixed slot-type door plates to improve the chaotic management situation.
