Fixing Mobile Toilets on Hardened Ground

Quản trị 06 tháng 10, 2026

The fixation of mobile toilets on hardened ground requires selecting appropriate methods based on the usage scenario and strictly adhering to adaptation specifications to ensure safety and stability.

1. Selection of Fixation Methods

The fixation on hardened ground (such as concrete floors) should be determined by considering the toilet type, usage period, and ground conditions:

  1. Expansion Bolt Fixation Method: Suitable for the fixation of short-term or medium-sized toilets. During operation, use a level to position the four corners at the bottom of the toilet, mark the drilling positions, and then use an impact drill to drill holes (with a hole diameter matching the bolts). Insert the expansion bolts and tighten them to ensure full contact between the bolts and the ground. It is recommended to use 2 - 4 bolts on each side to enhance stability and avoid tilting due to single-point force. This method is convenient for construction, but it is necessary to ensure that the bolt specifications match the ground hardness to prevent fixation failure due to loose ground.
  2. Concrete Pouring Fixation Method: Suitable for long-term fixation or heavy-duty toilets (such as large toilets with septic tanks). Excavate a foundation pit with a depth of 50 cm and a width of 60 cm according to the toilet size. Lay a 10 cm thick crushed stone bedding at the bottom of the pit and compact it. After formwork installation, pour C30 concrete and insert a steel reinforcement framework to enhance strength. After the concrete has set for 3 - 5 days, connect the toilet chassis to the foundation. This method offers high stability but requires the cooperation of a professional construction team and prior application for a construction permit to avoid damaging underground pipelines or public facilities.

2. Site Adaptation Requirements

The flatness of the hardened ground directly affects the stability of the toilet. According to the specifications, the ground flatness should be checked before fixation, and the error should not exceed 3 mm. Otherwise, local grinding or bedding adjustment should be carried out. In addition, concrete floors or flat hardened ground are suitable for ordinary wheeled toilets. However, if there are cracks, sanding, or oil stains on the ground, they should be repaired or cleaned in advance to avoid affecting the bonding strength of the bolts or concrete.

3. General Specifications and Maintenance

  1. Reserved Expansion Space: When using bolts for fixation, a gap of 2 - 3 mm should be reserved to prevent equipment deformation or bolt breakage due to thermal expansion and contraction.
  2. Load-Bearing Test: The lessor should provide a ground load-bearing test report to ensure that the load-bearing capacity is ≥ 5 kN/㎡ and prevent ground subsidence due to overweight.
  3. Regular Inspection: The fixation devices should be inspected once every quarter, and reinforcement and anti-rust treatment (such as painting with anti-rust paint) should be carried out before the rainy season to extend the service life of the equipment.

If the hardened ground is a temporary site (such as exhibitions or construction sites), the expansion bolt fixation method can be preferred. If it is a long-term public facility (such as scenic spots or parks), the concrete pouring method is recommended, along with daily maintenance to ensure safety.
