How to Flush Mobile Toilets
Quản trị 23 tháng 9, 2026
There are various flushing methods for mobile toilets, and the specific operation should be selected according to the type of toilet, with common types and operations as follows:

1. Manual Flushing
- Push-button/Lever-type: Press the top button or pull the side lever to trigger water tank drainage. The flush volume is usually adjustable (4-8 liters per flush), and it is necessary to ensure that the pressing or lever action is thorough to avoid incomplete drainage.
- Foot-pedal-type: Trigger flushing by stepping on the bottom foot pedal, using mechanical lever principles to drain water (3-6 liters per flush). This method avoids hand contact and is suitable for scenarios with high hygiene requirements.
- Operation Notes: If the flushing force is insufficient, check whether the device is stuck or if the water level in the tank is too low, and contact maintenance personnel for repair if necessary.
2. Automatic Sensor Flushing
- Principle: Automatically flushes after detecting the user's departure through infrared sensors, commonly found in high-end mobile public toilets, with a water consumption of about 2-5 liters per flush.
- Emergency Handling: If the sensor fails, look for the emergency button on the side to manually trigger flushing or contact on-site management personnel for assistance.
- Applicable Scenarios: Suitable for public areas with high foot traffic, such as scenic spots and exhibitions, to reduce the risk of contact transmission.
3. Waterless or Water-saving Flushing
- Foam Sealing Type: Excrement is covered by foam, eliminating the need for flushing, and only a small amount of water (0.1 liters per flush) is required to mix with the foaming agent to maintain the foam layer.
- Vacuum Suction Type: Similar to airplane toilets, it sucks away waste through negative pressure, with extremely low water consumption (0.5-1 liters per flush), and requires regular cleaning of the vacuum tank.
- Applicable Limitations: These types of toilets are mostly used in water-scarce areas or temporary events and require dedicated maintenance equipment.
4. Other Special Types
- Recirculating Water Flush Type: Purifies wastewater through biological treatment technology and recirculates it for flushing, eliminating the need for an external water source during flushing, but requires regular inspection of the filtration system.
- Dry Packaging Type: No flushing device is used; excrement is collected by biodegradable plastic bags, which are automatically replaced with new ones after use, requiring no water throughout the process.
General Precautions
- Winter Freeze Protection: Mobile toilets in low-temperature areas may be equipped with freeze protection systems, and it is necessary to confirm whether the device starts normally before use.
- Water-saving Standards: According to the "Urban Public Toilet Design Standards", the single flush volume should not exceed 6 liters, and the water-saving rate of new environmentally friendly toilets can reach 80%.
- Maintenance Tips: If the flushing device fails, do not force operation and report for repair promptly to avoid damaging the equipment.
