Renovation of Mobile Toilet Floor Tiles to Flooring
Quản trị 02 tháng 10, 2026
For renovating mobile toilet floor tiles to flooring, 6cm-thick SPC flooring can be directly laid, offering convenient construction without the need to saw the door, while also considering slip resistance, durability, and ease of maintenance. Recommended materials include SPC flooring, anti-slip tiles, and PVC anti-slip flooring, among others. Here are the specific renovation plans and precautions:

1. Material Selection and Characteristics
- SPC Flooring: 6cm-thick SPC flooring can be directly laid on the surface of the original floor tiles without removing the old tiles, resulting in high construction efficiency. Its core advantages include:
- Excellent Waterproof Performance: SPC flooring is composed of stone powder and PVC, with high density, effectively blocking water vapor penetration and preventing deformation or mold issues caused by moisture.
- Comfortable and Lightweight Foot Feel: The surface has a soft touch, suitable for frequent use in mobile toilets, and is lightweight, not adding to the ground load.
- Door Clearance Adaptability: The 6cm thickness ensures door clearance without the need to saw the door for adjustment, reducing construction difficulty.
- Anti-slip Tiles: If replacing floor tiles is necessary, rough-surfaced anti-slip tiles can be chosen to reduce the risk of slipping by increasing friction, suitable for scenarios with high durability requirements.
- PVC Anti-slip Flooring: Based on PVC, its surface is designed with texture to enhance slip resistance, easy to install and cost-effective, but requires regular cleaning to prevent dirt accumulation.
2. Construction Key Points and Prohibitions
- Avoid Smooth Materials: The use of smooth materials such as polished tiles and marble is prohibited, as they can easily cause slipping accidents in humid environments and tend to accumulate dirt in the joints.
- Joint Sealing Treatment: Regardless of the material chosen, the joints should be sealed with waterproof adhesive or sealing strips to prevent water vapor from penetrating the base layer, causing mold or structural damage.
- Base Layer Flatness Inspection: If directly laying SPC flooring, ensure that the original floor tiles have no hollows or cracks; otherwise, local repairs or self-leveling should be carried out to avoid noise or deformation caused by an uneven base layer.
3. Maintenance and Long-term Use Recommendations
- Daily Cleaning: SPC flooring and PVC flooring can be wiped with a neutral detergent, avoiding the use of strong acids or alkalis that can corrode the surface; anti-slip tiles should be regularly mopped and kept dry.
- Moisture Prevention Measures: Given the limited ventilation in mobile toilets, it is recommended to install exhaust fans or regularly open windows for ventilation to reduce water vapor condensation on the floor.
- Regular Inspection: Check the joint sealing every six months, and if aging or detachment is found, promptly reapply adhesive to extend the service life of the flooring.
