Mobile Toilet Feces Treatment Solutions

Quản trị 28 tháng 9, 2026

Mobile toilet feces are not unmanageable; there are multiple scientific and effective treatment methods.

I. Treatment Methods Classified by Technology Type

  1. Foam Sealing Type: This method generates foam by mixing a small amount of water with a foaming agent, covering the inner side of the toilet bowl to form a sealed layer that isolates odors and reduces water consumption. The core mechanism involves compressed air being transported through pipes to a foam activator, causing foam from the foam tank to cover the toilet bowl. Only hand-washing water needs to be collected to meet foaming requirements, making it suitable for scenic spots, parks, and other settings. It is easy to operate and maintain, with significant water-saving effects.
  2. Biodegradable Type (Microbial): This approach utilizes specific microorganisms (such as 'probiotics') to decompose feces, converting excreta into water, carbon dioxide, and a small amount of solid residue within 24 hours. The water is filtered and discharged, the residue is regularly cleared as fertilizer, and gases are vented through an air exchange port. This technology is suitable for mountainous areas and campsites without water supply and drainage systems and can be equipped with photovoltaic devices to extend the usage cycle.
  3. Vacuum Suction Type: This method employs negative pressure suction technology, using minimal water and producing almost no odor. A vacuum pump generates suction to quickly draw excreta into a collection container, commonly found in high-end scenic spots or Class I tourist restrooms. Smart sensing devices can be added to enhance the user experience.
  4. Waterless Packaging Type: This method requires no water at all, relying on biodegradable plastic bags to collect excreta. A new bag is automatically replaced after each use, and the used bags are集中 (jīzhōng, meaning 'centrally') transported to a treatment plant for disposal. It is cost-effective and suitable for temporary settings such as short-term events and construction sites.
  5. Conventional Water Flush Type: The principle is similar to that of a household restroom, requiring a配套 (pèitào, meaning 'supporting') water supply and drainage system. The toilet has a water tank at the top and a sewage tank at the bottom, with a relatively small capacity. Regular pumping is needed to prevent overflow, making it suitable for construction sites, temporary projects, and other cost-sensitive scenarios.
  6. Recirculating Water Flush Type: This method uses intermittent aerobic and anaerobic treatment devices, combined with biological strains and biofilm technology, to accelerate the fermentation and decomposition of fecal sewage. The filtered water is recirculated for flushing fixtures, greatly reducing the need for external water sources and making it suitable for water-scarce scenic spots.

II. Special Treatment Requirements for Rural Mobile Toilets

  1. Government or Implementer Management: The responsible party should arrange regular professional cleaning to ensure that feces are transported to sewage treatment facilities or harmless treatment sites, complying with environmental protection standards.
  2. Villager Self-Management: Villagers need to contact local rural environmental health management departments or qualified cleaning services to handle feces in accordance with environmental regulations. Random dumping is strictly prohibited.
  3. Feces Containing Harmful Substances: If heavy metals or other hazardous wastes are detected, they must be handed over to qualified institutions for treatment in accordance with hazardous waste management regulations to prevent environmental pollution.
