Mobile Toilet Drainage Pipe Connection

Quản trị 10 tháng 10, 2026

The connection of drainage pipes for mobile toilets requires selecting appropriate solutions based on the scenario, with core steps including material preparation, pipeline planning, standardized installation, and testing and protection. The key is to control the slope and sealing.

I. General Installation Specifications

  1. Materials and Tools
It is necessary to select corrosion-resistant and pressure-resistant PVC drainage pipes (the main pipe diameter should be ≥110mm, and the branch pipe diameter should be ≥75mm), along with elbows, tees, and other pipe fittings, as well as special glue. Tools include tape measures, hand saws, sandpaper, electric drills, etc. Ensure that the cuts are smooth without burrs, and the sealing of the joints is crucial for preventing leakage.

  2. Pipeline Planning and Slope

    • Layout Design: The pipeline should be arranged in a straight line to reduce bends and lower the risk of blockage. The slope should be ≥3‰ (a drop of 0.3 centimeters per meter), or designed at 2%-5% (a drop of 2-5 centimeters per meter) to ensure the natural flow of sewage.
    • Special Treatments: In low-lying areas, drainage wells or lifting devices need to be installed to prevent sewage accumulation. In cold areas, the burial depth should be ≥500mm to prevent freezing and cracking.
  3. Installation Steps

    • Measurement and Cutting: Measure the pipe length according to the layout, polish the cuts, apply glue to connect the pipe fittings, and rotate them 90 degrees after insertion to secure them.
    • Fixing and Branching: Use an electric drill to make holes and install pipe clamps, adjust the slope, and then fix the main pipeline. Connect branch pipes such as toilets and sinks through tees. The toilet should be sealed with a flange ring, and the sink should use a hose with a rubber washer to prevent leakage.
    • Testing and Protection: Check if the water flow is smooth and if the joints are leaking by flushing water. After the test is correct, reinforce the pipe clamps and install protective baffles for exposed pipelines.

II. Adaptation Solutions for Different Scenarios

  1. Municipal Mobile Toilets

    • Prioritize connecting to the municipal sewage network, and handle the procedures in advance. If connection is not possible, temporary sewage treatment facilities need to be set up.
    • Regularly check for blockages and leakage issues, and focus on inspecting drainage capacity before the rainy season.
  2. Household Mobile Toilets (Renovation Scenarios)

    • Same-floor Drainage: If the bathroom has a lowered floor (250-350mm), a diagonal tee can be used to prevent blockages and freely arrange the toilet position.
    • Inter-floor Drainage: It is necessary to negotiate with the downstairs neighbors to modify the sewage pipe, re-drill holes, and properly carry out waterproofing and trap installation. Alternatively, change to a wall-mounted toilet and hang the water tank with a steel structure.
    • Short-distance Relocation: Use a toilet relocator (suitable for relocations of 100-350mm), and make a slope of more than 3% during pre-embedding.

III. Key Precautions

  • Sealing: All joints must be sealed with glue or rubber rings to prevent leakage.
  • Slope Control: Insufficient slope can easily lead to blockages, so it is necessary to design strictly according to the standards.
  • Compliance: Municipal projects must comply with local drainage specifications, and household renovations need to coordinate with neighbors to avoid disputes.
