Mobile Toilet Dimensions

Quản trị 21 tháng 9, 2026

The common dimensions of mobile toilets vary depending on the type, with specific specifications and design considerations as follows:

I. Dimensions by Type

  1. Single-Unit Mobile Restroom
Length typically ranges from 1.2 to 1.5 meters, width from 1.0 to 1.2 meters, and height from 2.2 to 2.5 meters. These toilets are compact in structure, suitable for scenarios with limited space and lower demand, such as temporary use at construction sites or small outdoor events.

  2. Double-Unit Mobile Restroom
Length extends to 2.4 to 3.0 meters, width to 1.2 to 1.5 meters, and height remains at 2.2 to 2.5 meters. By increasing the number of toilet stalls, they can accommodate multiple users simultaneously, commonly found at large events, tourist attractions, and other venues with high foot traffic.

  3. Multi-Function Mobile Restroom
Length can reach 3.0 to 4.5 meters, width 2.0 to 2.5 meters, and height 2.5 to 3.0 meters. These toilets offer more comprehensive functions, potentially including separate handwashing areas, barrier-free facilities, or management rooms, suitable for high-end events, long-term fixed locations (such as parks, commercial districts), and other scenarios with high comfort requirements.

II. Key Design Parameters

  • Toilet Stall Width: The internal clear width of a single toilet stall should be ≥0.9 meters to ensure sufficient space for users.
  • Handwashing Basin Height: Recommended to be set at 0.8 to 0.9 meters, in line with ergonomic principles, facilitating use by people of different heights.
  • Barrier-Free Design: The internal clear width of a barrier-free toilet stall should be ≥1.5 meters, and the clear depth ≥1.8 meters, to accommodate wheelchair rotation and assistance from helpers, meeting the needs of disabled individuals.

III. Compliance Requirements
All mobile toilet designs must comply with the relevant provisions of the Urban Public Toilet Design Standard (CJJ 14-2016), including hygiene indicators such as ventilation, lighting, and odor control, as well as safety requirements such as structural stability and material durability.

IV. Usage Considerations

  • Transportation Restrictions: Measure road height restrictions (usually ≥2.5 meters) and width restrictions (usually ≥2.2 meters) in advance to avoid transportation difficulties due to oversized dimensions.
  • Installation Conditions: The installation ground must be level and firm, with a slope ≤5%, to prevent the toilet from tilting or being damaged due to unstable foundations.
  • Maintenance Space: Reserve at least 0.5 meters of operating space for regular cleaning, maintenance, and replacement of consumables.
