Mobile Toilet Construction Process

Quản trị 08 tháng 10, 2026

The construction process of mobile toilets varies depending on the type and design, with common production methods including the following:

1. Using a water storage tank Transforming a water storage tank is a relatively simple way to make a mobile toilet. Typically, a large-capacity plastic water storage tank is selected as the main structure. Through cutting and welding processes, a toilet opening is created at the top of the tank, and a sealable cover that can be opened and closed is installed to prevent odor diffusion. Inside, a feces collection device needs to be designed, such as placing a removable plastic bag or a small feces storage tank in the tank for easy later cleaning. Some designs add a water storage device for flushing, connecting the water tank to a flushing nozzle through simple pipes to achieve basic cleaning functions. This type of toilet is suitable for temporary events or emergency scenarios, but it requires regular feces cleaning and water replenishment.

2. Factory-prefabricated finished products Factory prefabrication is the mainstream production method for mobile toilets, adopting a modular design to improve efficiency. The frame structure is usually welded from steel, with channel steel or I-beams used at the bottom to enhance load-bearing capacity, and square steel used for columns to ensure stability. The wall materials can be color-coated steel plates, fiberglass-reinforced plastics, or stainless steel, offering both lightness and durability. The internal configurations include:

  • Feces treatment system: Equipped with a sealed feces storage tank or a biochemical treatment device, some high-end models use microbial degradation technology to reduce odors;
  • Sanitary ware: Install water-saving toilets or squat toilets, with foot-operated flushing devices to reduce the risk of cross-infection;
  • Auxiliary facilities: Integrated lighting and ventilation systems (such as exhaust fans or natural ventilation openings), with some models equipped with air conditioners or heating devices to improve comfort. After being transported to the site, the prefabricated toilet is connected to the frame and walls with bolts, and water and electricity are connected for immediate use, suitable for long-term demand scenarios such as scenic spots and construction sites.

3. Solar-powered mobile toilets This type of toilet combines renewable energy technology to enhance environmental performance. The energy system usually integrates monocrystalline silicon solar panels on the roof, storing electrical energy in batteries through a controller to power lighting, ventilation, and some electrical appliances. The structural design may be based on a water storage tank or a factory-prefabricated frame, but additional considerations are needed for the load-bearing and waterproofing performance of the solar panels. For example, a solar panel support with an adjustable angle can be installed on top of the water storage tank, or the roof slope of the prefabricated toilet can be optimized to maximize light absorption. This type of toilet is suitable for remote areas without grid coverage, but it has high initial costs and requires regular maintenance of the solar components.

4. Other creative designs In some scenarios, unconventional materials are used to transform mobile toilets, such as re-planning the interior space of an abandoned bus to create multiple independent compartments and install a ventilation system to meet peak demand during large-scale events. This type of design needs to focus on solving structural reinforcement (to prevent deformation of the vehicle chassis) and odor control (through forced ventilation or chemical deodorizers) issues, while also complying with local health and fire safety regulations.
