How to Construct a Mobile Toilet

Quản trị 24 tháng 9, 2026

The construction methods for mobile toilets vary depending on the type, mainly divided into self-made water storage tank type and finished product installation. Here are the specific steps:

I. Construction Steps for Self-Made Water Storage Tank Mobile Toilet

  1. Installation of Base and Mobile Device Select a high-strength plastic pallet as the base to ensure its load-bearing capacity meets usage requirements. Fix universal wheels at each of the four corners of the pallet, choosing models with brake functions to ensure stability. During installation, check the flexibility of wheel rotation to avoid jamming or misalignment.

  2. Modification and Fixation of Water Storage Tanks Recycle two plastic water storage tanks of appropriate capacity. Cut an opening at the top of one tank to serve as a sewage collection tank, and another opening at the top of the other tank as a clean water storage tank. Stack the two tanks vertically and fix them with a metal frame using self-tapping screws. The frame should cover the seams between the tanks to enhance sealing. Key Point: After stacking the tanks, perform level calibration to prevent tilting, which could lead to abnormal drainage.

  3. Installation of Functional Openings and Pipes Cut a rectangular opening (height: 180cm, width: 50cm) on the side of the tank, with edges polished smooth to avoid scratches. Drill a hole in the internal floor to install a drainage elbow, connecting a 32mm diameter PVC drainage pipe to the sewage tank. The clean water tank should have a reserved inlet connected to a float valve to control the water level and prevent overflow.

  4. Fixation of Sanitary Facilities Fix the toilet base to the plastic pallet using expansion bolts, ensuring alignment with the drainage elbow. Customize a stainless steel sink with a welded bracket at the bottom for fixation. Choose a water-saving ceramic cartridge faucet and a showerhead design to reduce water consumption. All water pipe connections should be wrapped with Teflon tape for sealing.

  5. Fabrication and Installation of Door Cut a door panel from a 12mm thick wooden board and install hinges on the edges (choose 304 stainless steel hinges for rust prevention). The door handle should be of an inset design to avoid protrusions that could cause bumps. The door gap should be controlled within 5mm, with sealing strips to prevent odor diffusion.

II. Installation Steps for Finished Mobile Toilet

  1. Preparation of Tools and Site Prepare tools such as an electric drill (with a 4.2mm drill bit), rivet gun, and level in advance. The installation site should be flat and hardened, with a slope not exceeding 2% to prevent rainwater backflow.

  2. Frame Assembly Install inner corner pieces sequentially at the wall connections. After inserting the panels into the slots, gently tap them with a rubber mallet until they fit snugly. Two people should cooperate during assembly, with one person holding the panel steady and the other checking the verticality.

  3. Fixation Work Drill holes at every 20cm interval along the assembly joints using a 4.2mm drill bit, insert aluminum rivets, and fix them with a rivet gun. Note: The rivets should be fully expanded, with their heads flush with the panel surface to avoid protrusions that could scratch users.

  4. Debugging of Functional Modules After installation, check the smoothness of door and window opening and closing, test the flushing system pressure (which should reach above 0.3MPa), and inspect the insulation of the lighting circuit. The sewage discharge outlet should be connected to a hose leading to a designated collection point.

Construction Adjustment Principles: Adjust the wheel specifications or add windproof anchors according to the actual usage scenario (such as scenic spots or construction sites); in northern regions, wrap insulation cotton around the clean water tank to prevent freezing and cracking. Wear goggles for all cutting operations, and electrical installations should be carried out by certified electricians.
