How to Construct a Mobile Toilet

Quản trị 19 tháng 10, 2026

The construction of a mobile toilet requires the integration of project requirements, regulatory standards, and site conditions, completed through scientific planning and standardized processes, with core steps including site preparation, structural installation, pipeline connection, and equipment commissioning.

I. Project Planning and Resource Preparation
Before construction, clarify the project nature (e.g., temporary public facilities or customized designs). Determine the toilet unit structure, functional configurations (independent stalls, barrier-free facilities, etc.), and design service life based on standards such as the Public Toilet Hygiene Standard GB15982-2019. For materials, prepare main components like galvanized square tubes, metal carved panels, and SBS waterproof membranes, along with equipment such as water-saving squat toilets and LED induction lights. Construction machinery includes truck cranes and argon arc welders, with quantities configured according to project scale. If using factory-prefabricated units, coordinate transportation and on-site assembly plans in advance.

II. Site Preparation and Foundation Construction
The site must be leveled and hardened to ensure ground bearing capacity meets requirements. For customized cases (e.g., converting a water storage tank into a mobile toilet), cut an opening at the top of the tank, install a support plate as the structural base, and weld universal wheels for mobility. Foundation construction should reserve pipeline channels, with a drainage slope of ≥2% to prevent water accumulation.

III. Main Structure Installation

  1. Steel Structure Assembly: Use a lightweight prefabricated steel structure, connecting the frame via welding or bolts. Focus on checking column verticality (deviation ≤3mm) and beam levelness.
  2. Wall and Roof Installation: Use metal carved panels or integrated decorative wall panels for walls, with sealant applied at joints. For the roof, lay SBS waterproof membranes, ensuring insulation thickness complies with local climate requirements (e.g., ≥50mm in northern regions).
  3. Customized Structural Reinforcement: For water storage tank conversions, weld reinforcing ribs around the opening edge and secure the support plate to the tank with high-strength bolts to ensure overall stability.

IV. Water and Electrical System Installation

  1. Pipeline Connection: Use PPR pipes with hot-melt connections for water supply and UPVC pipes with adhesive connections for drainage, maintaining slopes as per design requirements (typically 1%-2%).
  2. Equipment Installation: Install water-saving flushing systems (single flush volume ≤4L), mechanical ventilation units (air exchange rate ≥6 times/h), and smart induction lighting (illuminance ≥150lx).
  3. Customized Drainage Design: For water storage tank conversions, install a drainage valve at the bottom and connect a hose to the municipal sewage network or a collection tank.

V. Interior Decoration and Detail Handling
Lay non-slip vitrified tiles on the floor, with a wall skirt height of ≥1.2m. Install handrails for barrier-free facilities (diameter 32-40mm, distance from wall 40-50mm). Equip the management room with tool cabinets and storage areas for cleaning supplies.

VI. Commissioning and Acceptance
Verify the normal operation of the flushing system, ventilation, and lighting. Test drainage speed (≤10s per flush) and structural stability (bearing capacity ≥300kg/m²). Acceptance must comply with design documents and regulatory requirements, with a focus on checking waterproofing, odor control, and safety performance.
