Classification of Mobile Toilets

Quản trị 23 tháng 9, 2026

The classification of mobile toilets can be divided from five dimensions: structural form, mobility method, sewage treatment method, functionality and applicable scenarios, and portability. Details are as follows:

1. Classification by Structural Form
Mobile toilets can be categorized into two types: single-unit structures and composite structures. Single-unit mobile toilets are typically independent units with simple structures, facilitating quick deployment and suitable for temporary venues. Composite mobile toilets, on the other hand, are composed of multiple modules, allowing for functional expansion or capacity increase based on demand, and are commonly seen in large-scale events or long-term usage scenarios.

2. Classification by Mobility Method
According to the mobility method, mobile toilets can be divided into lifting/handling types and powered/trailer types. Lifting/handling mobile toilets rely on mechanical equipment (such as cranes or forklifts) for overall transportation, suitable for short-distance moves. Powered/trailer mobile toilets are equipped with power systems (such as engines) or trailer devices, enabling long-distance transportation via vehicle towing, offering greater flexibility.

3. Classification by Sewage Treatment Method
Sewage treatment method is one of the core dimensions for classifying mobile toilets, primarily divided into the following types:

  • Flush-type: Uses clean water to flush waste, requiring connection to a water source and sewage pipeline. It offers good hygiene conditions but consumes a significant amount of water.
  • Waterless Packaging Type: Uses biodegradable materials to encapsulate waste, eliminating the need for a water source, and is suitable for water-scarce areas or temporary venues.
  • Biological Treatment Type: Utilizes microorganisms to decompose waste into harmless substances, offering strong environmental protection but with a longer treatment cycle.
  • Vacuum Toilet: Reduces water consumption through vacuum suction technology, with waste collected centrally for treatment, suitable for high-end venues or environments with strict hygiene requirements.

4. Classification by Functionality and Applicable Scenarios
Based on functional requirements, mobile toilets can be divided into the following types:

  • Ordinary Mobile Restrooms: Have simple structures and are equipped with basic facilities (such as toilets and sinks), suitable for temporary venues like construction sites and short-term exhibitions.
  • Flush-type Mobile Restrooms: Incorporate a flush system to enhance hygiene conditions, suitable for large-scale sports events, music festivals, and other occasions with high hygiene requirements.
  • Eco-friendly Mobile Restrooms: Adopt water-saving technologies (such as recycled water flushing) or renewable energy sources (such as solar power), suitable for eco-tourism areas, nature reserves, and other venues with strict environmental protection requirements.
  • Smart Mobile Restrooms: Integrate intelligent control systems (such as automatic感应冲水 (automatic sensor flushing), air purification, and data monitoring), commonly found in high-end commercial districts and transportation hubs.

5. Classification by Portability
Based on portability requirements, mobile toilets can be divided into the following types:

  • Portable Toilets: Come with sealed lids and are compact in size, suitable for short-distance self-driving trips or outdoor activities.
  • Foldable Types: Use special materials to treat waste and can be folded for easy storage and carrying.
  • Fiberglass Types: Made of materials that are resistant to sun exposure and corrosion, suitable for harsh environments like construction sites.
  • Eco-friendly Types: Directly convert waste into fertilizer, suitable for agricultural or ecological projects.
