Basic Construction Methods for Mobile Toilets

Quản trị 21 tháng 9, 2026

There are two common basic construction methods for mobile toilets: using a water storage barrel and using a water storage tank and a pallet.

Construction Using a Water Storage Barrel

First, modify the water storage barrel. Split the barrel in half lengthwise and fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board to provide mobility for the mobile toilet. Then, attach wooden strips to the upper side of the barrel to increase its height for easier use. Cut an opening on the side of the barrel and install sponge strips to form a door frame, providing some sealing and cushioning effects. Insert plastic soft boards to create raised walls and place the upper half of the barrel on top of the wooden strips as the roof, thus initially constructing the main frame of the mobile toilet.

For drainage and water storage, drill a hole at the bottom of the barrel and install a drain pipe to form a floor drain for easy sewage discharge. Drill a hole on the side and connect an interface, then place a plastic bucket over it to create a small water storage device for storing water for handwashing, etc.

Finally, install sanitary facilities. Use water pipes to make a bath heater, toilet, water tank, etc. Connect the drain pipe to a sewage bucket and extend the water pipe to the entrance as the inlet pipe for the handwashing basin, completing the installation of all internal facilities in the mobile toilet.

Construction Using a Water Storage Tank and a Pallet

First, process the plastic pallet. Fix universal wheels at each of its four corners and then place the water storage tank on the pallet. Use an angle grinder to cut along the marked line on the top of the water storage tank to remove the top, creating an open tank. Place another open-top water storage tank upside down on top of the first one and fix the outer frame with self-tapping screws to enhance structural stability.

Cut rectangular openings on the outer frame and the tank body of the water storage tank to form an entrance for easy access. Drill a hole on the internal floor of the water storage tank, insert an elbow and a water pipe, and seal the gaps to prepare for toilet drainage. Align the toilet with the drain hole and fix it with glue to ensure it is firmly installed and does not leak.

Fix water pipes with wall clamps, install faucets and pipe caps, connect the water pipes, and then install a handwashing basin made of a stainless steel basin. Connect the inlet pipe to the toilet water tank, connect the shower hose, and install a showerhead-style shower and a toilet seat to complete the sanitary facilities. Finally, fix hinges on the frame of the water storage tank, connect wooden boards to form the toilet door, and install a door handle to finish the construction of the mobile toilet.
