Mobile Toilet Base Frame Structure

Quản trị 22 tháng 9, 2026

The base frame structure of mobile toilets typically uses a steel frame as the main support, with common forms including angle iron frame bases, channel steel or I-beam welded frames, etc. Specific designs need to balance load-bearing capacity and installation flatness.

Angle Iron Frame Base Structure

The angle iron frame base is one of the typical designs for the base frame of mobile toilets, with its core structure being an L4×L4 angle iron frame with a middle夹板 (interlayer plate). The specification of the angle iron (equal-angle steel) is usually L4, which means it is an equal-angle steel with a side length of 40mm, and it forms a frame structure through welding. The advantages of this design are as follows:

  1. High load-bearing capacity: The L-shaped cross-section of the angle steel can effectively disperse vertical and horizontal loads, making it particularly suitable for supporting the overall weight of the toilet and the dynamic loads generated by personnel activities.
  2. Flatness of the installation surface: The middle interlayer plate (usually a steel plate or a wooden board) is fixed to the angle iron frame by bolts or welding, forming a flat surface. This facilitates the subsequent installation of flooring, toilets, and other facilities, avoiding equipment tilting or water leakage problems caused by an uneven frame.
  3. Material versatility: Angle iron and interlayer plates are common building materials, easy to procure and process, with low costs, making them suitable for mass production.

Channel Steel or I-Beam Welded Frame

Some mobile toilet base frames use channel steel or I-beams as the main beams, with square steel selected for the columns, forming a frame-type structure. Its characteristics include:

  1. Strong structural stability: Channel steel (such as 10# channel steel) or I-beams (such as I12 I-beams) have a large moment of inertia in their cross-sections and strong bending resistance, making them suitable for scenarios with large spans or high load requirements, such as large mobile toilets in public places.
  2. Synergistic force-bearing between columns and main beams: Square steel columns (such as 40×40mm square steel) are connected to the main beams by welding or bolts, forming a three-dimensional force-bearing system. This can effectively resist lateral forces such as wind loads and earthquakes, improving the overall anti-overturning capacity.
  3. Balance between lightweight and durability: The surface of the steel is usually hot-dip galvanized to prevent corrosion and extend the service life. At the same time, by optimizing the cross-sectional dimensions, the self-weight can be reduced while ensuring strength, facilitating transportation and installation.

Design Considerations

The design of the base frame structure of mobile toilets needs to comprehensively consider the following factors:

  • Load requirements: Estimate personnel density and equipment weight according to the usage scenario (such as scenic spots or construction sites) to determine the steel specifications and connection methods.
  • Environmental adaptability: Strengthen anti-corrosion treatment in coastal or high-humidity areas, and consider the low-temperature brittleness of steel in cold regions.
  • Modular requirements: The base frame design often reserves standard interfaces to facilitate rapid assembly with walls, roofs, and other modules, improving construction efficiency.
