Mobile Toilet
A mobile toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides toilet services to the public. It has the advantages of being movable, combinable, and easy to transport, with a wide range of application scenarios.

Composition and Materials
A mobile toilet is generally composed of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor slab, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, and moving device. Initially made of materials such as wood, it had a simple structure and function and was prone to absorbing odors. Later, it gradually evolved to use materials such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic and polyethylene.
Classification Methods
- By structural form: It can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets.
- By moving method: It is classified into hoisting and handling mobile toilets, and powered and towed mobile toilets.
- By sewage treatment method: It is divided into water-flushing and non-water-flushing suction mobile toilets, circulating water-flushing mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets.
Design Principles
The design should follow the principles of being mobile and convenient, economical and durable; environmentally friendly and beneficial to the environment; improving efficiency and promoting humanity.
Application Scenarios
It is suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential areas, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. For example, in 2023, mobile toilets were gradually installed and put into use in the scenic area along the Yellow River in Lanzhou.
Mobile Environmental Protection Public Toilet
It is a type of mobile toilet designed based on new materials and water-saving technology, requiring only 0.46 liters of water per person to flush clean. The frame is welded with national standard steel, and the surface is covered with anti-corrosion and fire-resistant materials such as color steel plates or carved plates, with a service life of more than 20 years. It is equipped with an independent toilet pit partition treatment system. The urine channel uses gravity self-flow, and the feces channel is cleaned by a piston-type scraper mechanical device. It is also equipped with a non-slip floor, an automatic flushing toilet bowl, and a ventilation and lighting system, complying with the GBLT18091-92 standard.
Development History
It emerged during the third public toilet revolution (from the 1990s to the end of the 20th century). Since 2012, it has gradually developed, forming technical routes such as non-water-flushing, foam-sealing, and water-flushing, covering sub-categories such as antique-style, temporary construction site, and ship-mounted types, supporting vehicle-mounted and traditional public toilet renovations. The product forms have expanded to trailer-type, box-type substation cabinet-type, stainless steel sentry box-type, etc., with applications covering scenic spots, service areas, rural areas, and other public places. The industrial chain involves production enterprises in multiple regions providing diversified solutions.
