Introduction to Mobile Tent Toilets
A mobile tent toilet is a type of mobile toilet with a tent as its main structure, which can be flexibly erected and dismantled, suitable for various scenarios and offering multiple advantages.

Applicable Scenarios
Mobile tent toilets are widely used in large-scale events and areas with high pedestrian traffic. For example, during the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War on September 3, 2025, tent-style toilets were set up in areas with high pedestrian traffic, such as the east side of the Great Hall of the People and the west side of the National Museum of China. The tent-style temporary toilets in the Tiananmen area were also upgraded, with new barrier-free restrooms added to enhance privacy protection and odor control. In March 2026, Beijing Environmental Sanitation Group comprehensively upgraded and put into use the tent-style temporary toilets in the Tiananmen area (west side of the National Museum of China), further optimizing the user experience.
Structural Composition
A mobile tent toilet generally consists of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor panels, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. These components work together to ensure the basic functions of the toilet are realized. For example, the fecal sewage storage tank is used to collect and treat excreta, sanitary ware provides convenience for use, and walls and roofs ensure the privacy and safety of users.
Advantages and Characteristics
- Mobility: It can adapt to changes in the venue, reducing resource waste caused by the demolition of fixed facilities. After large-scale events, it can be quickly dismantled and moved to other places in need, improving resource utilization efficiency.
- Diverse treatment methods: Appropriate treatment technologies can be adopted according to the limitations of the usage environment. For example, in areas with sewage treatment systems, fecal sewage can be connected to the system for treatment; in remote areas, biodegradation and other technologies can be used to reduce the impact on the environment.
- Small footprint: Compared with traditional fixed toilets, mobile tent toilets occupy a smaller area and are suitable for use in venues with limited space.
- Practical and aesthetically pleasing design: Considering appearance design on the basis of practicality, it is usually a factory-prefabricated finished product that can be installed on-site for use, meeting usage needs while enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of the environment.
