How to Remove Odor from Mobile Storage Toilets
Quản trị 12 tháng 10, 2026
Odor removal from mobile storage toilets can be achieved through physical, chemical, biological, and other comprehensive methods, as detailed below:

Physical Deodorization Methods
- Ventilation: Install exhaust fans or other equipment to accelerate air circulation within the toilet, expelling stale air and introducing fresh air to reduce odor concentration. This is the most basic and effective deodorization method, quickly improving indoor air quality.
- Activated Carbon Adsorption: Activated carbon has strong adsorption capabilities and can adsorb odor molecules. Place it in suitable locations within the mobile toilet, such as corners or near ventilation openings, to remove some odors. However, it needs to be replaced regularly to maintain adsorption effectiveness.
Chemical Deodorization Methods
- Deodorant Spraying: Use specialized deodorants, such as plant extract deodorants or chemically synthesized deodorants, and regularly spray them inside the toilet to quickly eliminate noticeable odors.
- Acid-Base Neutralization: Depending on the acidity or alkalinity of the odor components in the toilet, use corresponding acidic or alkaline substances for neutralization. For example, for alkaline odors like ammonia, use an appropriate amount of acidic substances for neutralization and deodorization.
- Vinegar Deodorization: Place a cup of vinegar in the toilet, which is generally effective for 6-7 days. Replace it every week or so. The acetic acid in vinegar can react chemically with odor-producing substances to remove odors.
- Mentholatum Deodorization: Open a box of mentholatum and place it in a corner at a low position in the bathroom to eliminate odors. One box can last for 2-3 months.
- Calcium Superphosphate Deodorization: Regularly sprinkle a small amount of calcium superphosphate in the bathroom to effectively remove odors.
Biological Deodorization Methods
- Microbial Deodorization: Introduce specific microbial communities that can decompose organic matter in the toilet, such as nitrogen- and sulfur-containing compounds in feces and urine, converting them into harmless substances to achieve deodorization. This method is environmentally friendly and has long-lasting deodorization effects.
- Plant Deodorization: Plant some odor-absorbing plants around the mobile toilet, such as mint, lavender, and spider plants. The scents emitted by these plants can mask odors to some extent, and some plants can also absorb harmful gases.
Other Deodorization Methods
- Match Deodorization: After using the toilet, strike a match and let it burn completely before discarding it into the toilet. The phosphorus in the match can effectively remove odors when burned.
- Toilet Water Deodorization: Apply a few drops of toilet water to the light bulb (while the power is off). After the toilet water has completely evaporated, turn on the light to fill the room with fragrance.
- Soap Deodorization: Open the soap box cover and use a strongly scented floral soap.
- Orange Peel Deodorization: Wash and dry orange peels and scatter them around the bathroom to achieve a good odor removal effect.
- Lemon Deodorization: Cut fresh lemons into slices, dry them, and place them in a container in the bathroom to prevent mold and remove odors.
- Dried Flowers and Perfume Deodorization: Purchase a wide-mouthed bottle, insert dried flowers, and drip a few drops of perfume every once in a while to both beautify the environment and remove odors.
