Mobile Restroom Toilet Leakage

Quản trị 09 tháng 10, 2026

The solution to leakage in mobile restroom toilets depends on the specific leaking part. Common causes include construction negligence, faucet damage, or human-induced damage. Here are the specific handling methods:

If the leaking part is the water pipe joint, it is usually caused by loose screws during installation or aging of the sealing material. In this case, use an adjustable wrench to tighten the screws at the joint one by one to ensure a tight connection without looseness. If there is still leakage after tightening, wrap 3-5 turns of Teflon tape (polytetrafluoroethylene sealing tape) around the threads and reinstall it to test the sealing performance. The Teflon tape can effectively fill the thread gaps, but note that the wrapping direction should be consistent with the thread rotation direction to avoid detachment during installation.

If the faucet is dripping or continuously flowing water, first turn off the main water valve (usually located at the bottom of the mobile restroom or on the external water supply pipe) to prevent a large amount of water from flowing out during maintenance. Use a wrench to rotate counterclockwise to remove the old faucet and check the interface for impurities or damage. When installing a new faucet, apply a small amount of Vaseline or special sealing glue to the threads, tighten it clockwise, and then turn on the main water valve to test it to ensure there is no leakage and the switch is flexible. If the faucet cartridge is damaged (such as a broken ceramic disc), the entire faucet needs to be replaced, not just the external handle.

Water tank leakage is often caused by a malfunctioning float valve, cracks in the water tank, or aging of the sealing rubber ring. If it is a float valve failure (such as continuous water intake when the water level is too high), adjust the length of the float rod or replace the valve body; if the water tank itself has cracks, choose to repair it (using waterproof glue or epoxy resin) or replace the entire water tank according to the degree of damage. When replacing, first drain the accumulated water in the water tank, disconnect the water inlet hose, remove the fixing bolts, and take down the old water tank. When installing the new water tank, ensure that the sealing rubber ring is in the correct position to avoid leakage at the interface.

If the water pipe body is broken (such as cracks in a PVC pipe), cut off the water pipe according to the damaged position and use a hot-melt tool to connect a new water pipe section (suitable for PVC pipes) or use a special pipe clamp (suitable for metal pipes) to reinforce it. If the damaged point is in a concealed location (such as inside a wall), first locate the leak and then cut open the wall for repair. After repair, restore the wall decoration. Leakage at the water pipe joint can also be solved by replacing the joint or adding a movable joint, but ensure that the new joint matches the specifications of the original water pipe.

Maintenance precautions: Turn off the main water valve and drain the remaining water in the pipes before operation; avoid using excessive force when using tools to prevent damage to the accessories; after maintenance, turn on the water valve and gradually test the sealing performance of each part. Observe for 24 hours without leakage to confirm that the repair is successful. If the cause of the leakage involves structural damage (such as deformation of the water tank support) or the leak point cannot be located, it is recommended to contact professional maintenance personnel for handling.
