Paint for Mobile Houses and Containers

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

The types of paint suitable for mobile houses and containers mainly include water-based metallic paint, single-component acrylic paint, polyurethane anti-corrosive topcoat, and specialized container coatings, which should be selected based on the usage scenario, environmental requirements, and performance needs.

Water-Based Metallic Paint

Water-based metallic paint uses water as a diluent, requiring no curing agent or solvent, making it an environmentally friendly coating. Its core advantages include being odorless and pollution-free, posing no harm to human health, and being non-flammable and non-explosive, facilitating easy transportation. During application, it can be diluted with tap water, resulting in low tool cleaning costs and fast drying speeds, which enhance work efficiency. This paint is suitable for various scenarios such as containers, color-coated steel sheets, bridges, and ships, providing long-term rust prevention with a single application. For example, using water-based metallic paint for container refurbishment meets environmental requirements and extends service life.

Single-Component Acrylic Paint

Single-component acrylic paint is specifically designed for container refurbishment, utilizing high weather-resistant and high-adhesion acrylic resin as the base material, combined with anti-corrosive factors and wear-resistant fillers. Its core characteristics include:

  • Easy Application: No need to mix with a curing agent; simply stir evenly after opening and use. It supports three application methods: airless spraying, rolling, and brushing, making it suitable for coating complex structures.
  • Weather and Corrosion Resistance: It can withstand salt spray, ultraviolet rays, rain, and alternating high and low temperatures (-30℃~70℃), preventing container corrosion and extending service life to 8-10 years.
  • Environmental Compliance: It adopts a low-VOC formula, has no pungent odor, and meets outdoor construction environmental standards.

Polyurethane Anti-Corrosive Topcoat

Polyurethane anti-corrosive topcoat is based on aliphatic isocyanate and acrylic resin, with the addition of titanium dioxide, pigments, and other components, making it a two-component coating. Its characteristics include:

  • Excellent Weather Resistance: It maintains strong color and gloss retention, with a tough and glossy film that is resistant to chalking and yellowing.
  • Chemical Resistance: It can resist erosion from mineral oils, vegetable oils, and petroleum products, making it suitable for highly corrosive environments.
  • Strict Application Requirements: It requires epoxy micaceous iron or iron red epoxy anti-rust paint as a primer. During application, humidity must be controlled (≤75%), and it requires 7 days for curing before delivery.

Specialized Container Coatings

Container coatings must adapt to extreme environments (such as temperature variations from -40℃~70℃, high salt spray, and ultraviolet radiation) and meet the requirements for transportation friction and impact. Their classifications include:

  • Interior Paint: It uses environmentally friendly and non-toxic epoxy paint to ensure the safety of food or pharmaceutical transportation.
  • Exterior Paint: The intermediate layer uses epoxy polyamide zinc phosphate paint or vinyl resin zinc phosphate paint, the topcoat uses modified chlorinated rubber paint or acrylic topcoat (thick paste type), and the primer often uses bituminous anti-corrosive paint.
