Mobile Home Container Installation Wheels

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

When installing wheels for mobile home containers, it is essential to select dedicated casters that fit standard container corner fittings, ensuring secure installation, appropriate load-bearing capacity, flexible steering, and reliable braking. Here are the specific operational points:

1. Selection of Caster Types
Choose container casters based on the usage scenario. For example, for short-distance movement of empty containers within a factory, cast iron polyurethane casters can be selected. These feature a thickened cast iron frame and heavy-duty polyurethane wheel cores, providing a stable structure, wear resistance, pressure resistance, quiet rolling, and suitability for epoxy floors or concrete surfaces. For heavy-duty containers weighing 10-50 tons, high-strength alloy bracket casters are required. These have wheels made of specially formulated wear-resistant polyurethane material, resistant to crushing and non-damaging to the ground, with built-in precision steering bearings for easy single-person operation.

2. Installation Compatibility Requirements
Casters must match the dimensions of the container corner fittings. For example, the Shuangling Super Heavy-Duty 6-inch Universal Casters feature a split design for quick installation: place the wheels in a straight position to fit into the corner fittings, then pull the switch to lock them in a cross position for fixation. Unlocking involves pushing the switch to restore the straight position. This design does not require welding or modification of the container body, fitting standard container bottom corner fittings and ensuring stability after installation.

3. Load-Bearing Capacity Verification
Select caster load-bearing specifications based on the total weight of the container. For example, a single Shuangling Super Heavy-Duty Universal Caster can bear up to 3 tons, with a four-caster combination bearing 9 tons, meeting the needs of light-duty containers. The 10-50 Ton Dedicated Towing Casters feature high-strength alloy brackets and thickened load-bearing structures, covering all container sizes and ensuring no deformation or impact resistance during movement.

4. Steering and Braking Functions
Casters must have flexible steering and reliable braking. For example, the 8-inch Cast Nylon Double-Wheel Universal Casters use ball bearing designs for low steering resistance; the Precision Brake Locking Structure can be locked with a single button after movement to prevent container slippage. For scenarios requiring frequent repositioning, universal steering designs allow forward and backward movement, left and right fine-tuning, and in-place steering, improving operational efficiency.

5. Maintenance and Safety Precautions
Regularly inspect casters for wear and replace worn wheels or bearings promptly. Avoid prolonged use on uneven surfaces to prevent wheel deformation. Ensure container balance during movement to prevent caster damage from unilateral stress.
