Mobile Fetching Water from Toilet for Drinking

Quản trị 22 tháng 10, 2026

Fetching water from the toilet for drinking through mobile means is absolutely unacceptable and poses serious health risks, and it must be firmly prohibited.

The poor hygiene conditions of toilet water sources

Toilets are places where excreta are concentrated for disposal. Even after flushing, a large number of pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, and parasites may still remain in the pipes. For example, common pathogenic bacteria like Escherichia coli and Salmonella are extremely prone to breeding in the toilet environment. These microorganisms can attach to the inner walls of the water pipes along with the water flow. When water is fetched from the toilet, these harmful microorganisms may be brought into the water. Moreover, the air environment in the toilet is also poor, with various odors and volatile harmful substances possibly present. These substances may also dissolve in the water, further contaminating the water source.

Lack of effective purification treatment

Unlike professionally treated drinking water, water fetched from the toilet has not undergone any purification or disinfection processes. During the production of drinking water, multiple steps such as sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection are carried out to remove impurities, microorganisms, and harmful substances from the water, ensuring that the water quality meets safety standards. However, water fetched from the toilet lacks these treatments, and the harmful substances in it cannot be effectively removed. Drinking such water directly will significantly increase the risk of contracting diseases, such as digestive system diseases like diarrhea, vomiting, and gastroenteritis. In severe cases, it may even lead to more serious health problems, such as septic shock.

Violation of basic hygiene knowledge and moral norms

From the perspective of hygiene knowledge, toilets are areas closely associated with filth and uncleanness, and their water sources are naturally regarded as unhygienic and undrinkable. From the aspect of moral norms, providing water fetched from the toilet to others is an extremely irresponsible act towards their health and may cause physical and psychological harm to others.

To safeguard one's own and others' health, it is essential to choose drinking water that meets hygiene standards, such as regularly treated tap water and bottled water. One should never choose to fetch water from the toilet for drinking due to momentary negligence or special circumstances.
